DH and I are thinking of going on a 3-4 night get away.

We have a thur- sun booked in late Oct. I am thinking of moving it into Nov to see Christmas decor.

Is there any reason for Food and Wine to not do a Sun - THur Vrs a Wed- sun? Air fare is about 60$ pp less and a few less points.

Kiddie is staying home so school doesn't matter; in fact it will be less work on family watching her during week as she is in school dur day. pretty sure we will both have the time off .. .. But I don't want to miss anything fun.

Anything you can think of that is weekend based as oppposed to missing Fri and Sat night that wouldn't be there on say Tue night?

For Food and Wine- I prefer the weekdays. It is so-oooo packed on Friday and Saturdays- esp the later it gets. The weekdays are perfect for getting in and trying everything without the huge lines.

I think they do have more special events on the weekends. We really enjoyed the Grand Marnier tasting/desserts. I think they were only on Saturdays last year, and they do "Sweet Sundays." We hope to do one of those this year if they have them.

The "Eat to the Beat" concert series now only runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I also like the special events like French Regional Lunches. We've decided to forego the Party for the Senses -- just too pricey for the food, no longer as special as it used to be.

Is this something new and where did you happen to hear about it since I know last year the Eat to the Beat was every night during the F&W Fest?

I agree with this. Those concerts were every night. The weekend only concerts were at F&G.

From the Disney website giving the general info on the 2011 F&W:

Eat to the Beat! Concert Series
Musical entertainment pairs perfectly with culinary fun during the nightly Eat to the Beat! Concert Series. Enjoy a varied lineup of classic rock, soul, R&B, jazz and funk hit-makers!

My bad! Got F & G and F & W mixed up. :confused3
