Food and Wine festival must do

Not sure if this is in the right place, but Hubby and I will be at the Food and Wine Festival in October, and was wondering what is the one event I simply must do, since most of them are fairly expensive.

Can any of the events use the Dining plan credits? Is it worth it to get the dining plan while there during the festival? Can you get a discount on the events with your annual pass or DDE?

This is our first time to the festival and I want to make sure we get the reservation we want and the event we want, but I am not even sure what that is yet. When do they announce the events?

My DH and I are BIG fans of the Party For the Senses. It's an all you can eat and wine drink festival of fun! The DDE and the Annual Passes do not work for any of the festival special events or food booths.
Event list came up around Mid July last year with booking 2 weeks later or so. Some events like the Lunch and Wine pairing at some places sell out the day they go on sale. Party for the Senses tends not to sell out.

Cool! My Husband and I are already too excited! It's just so much fun!

There are a lot of free wine and cooking events to do everyday at Epcot. Last year most were held in the Wonders of Life Pavilion. As you walk into Epcot they will give you an event map that will list all the free wine tastings and cooking demos (or if we are lucky some nice person will post a copy on the DIS to look at before you go) You have to line up a 1/2 early during the week and up to an hour early on the weekends for these but they are great fun. We have learned a lot, drank some fantastic wines for free and talked with some wonderful people!
