the special dinners, etc. and still enjoy the festival?

My DW's stomach can hold, at best, 3 ounces - long story. She feels it will be a waste of money to go to a Dinner, a School or a Party. She's probably right. I've heard several people say you can sample items around the park for $1 to $4. If we do this, will we still enjoy the festival?

Sounds like the F&W Festival might be just the thing for you. We just love going to the various booths and splitting one sampler between the two of us. That way we can "sample" at a bunch of different countries. Pretty cheap eats and pretty darn tasty too!

You will definitely love the festival then. Since we have little ones it doesn't make sense for us to book a dinner, class, etc. We loved sampling various foods. Last year we planned one whole meal this way and loved it! Well worth the time and little bit of money.

Oh yes, you don't have to have any of the extra events..there is so much to enjoy without paying anything extra..you will love it.

(Of course, you still have to pay $1 to $4 for whatever you purchase from each countries booth, but not a problem)

There are also a lot of free tastings of beer/wine during the day..check them out..lots of fun.

We "ate our way around the world" at the festival and found ourselves pretty full by the time of our dinner PS at Rose and Crown.

I'd say the Food and Wine Festival would be perfect for you.

webray,

Where are the FREE wine and beer samples? We had to pay for any that we got at the different booths. And depending on how fancy/rare the alcohol was, the little cups we got were priced kind of high.

Thanks,

Rhonna

They are on different days, different times..different companies putting them on..you have to check the schedule book when you get to the park..they are there..belive me.

The free tastings are normally in the(wine) oddessy and on the Terrace (cooking demos & tastings sometimes you get wine too! and theres another wine tasting section in the terrace next to Morrocco.
They can fill up very fast!

I've seen them line up more than an hour for these free seminars. Actually we were in one of them at the Odessey. We went over to Mexico to get a couple of Margaritas to drink while we were in the line to get free samples of wine:D :bounce:
