:earsgirl: This is my families first time going to WDW. Can we bring drinks or snacks into the park? Our 4 year old is very hypoglycemic so we need to know this in advance. I am already thinking that June is not going to be the best time to visit as being from Northern WI, the heat and humidity is not what we are used to. Any tips other than spending every afternoon at the pool???

Hi lamaggard! and WELCOME to the dis!

Personally I have never had a problem with bringing in a water personal water bottle and a few bags of chips or little travel snacks :goodvibes

If at the baggage check they question you, just describe your situation to them about your DS 4 and the CMs will 99% of the time give you the "okay!" :teeth:

Hope you enjoy your trip!!! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Congratulations on your first visit to WDW ::MickeyMo . No matter when you go, I am sure you will love it. As far as the snacks, you can carry them in with you. I went last September and carried crackers and peanut butter as well as protein bars into every park with me everyday. I would make a couple of recommendations. 1) Do not carry anything with chocolate. It will melt and ruin your bags. 2) Try to get as much frozen water bottles with you as you can handle carrying around. 3) Get a rag or a towel or something and soak it it cold water to put around your neck or even under a hat to help keep you cooler. 4) I would also recommend to get one of the water spray fan bottles that you can fill with cool water and spray on your face to cool off when you want too. Otherwise, the parks have ways for you to cool off. There are fans with water mist under them. There are water rides in practically every park. There are even fountains that will spray water up in the air so the kids can run underneath and get wet.

I hope that helps. Also, when in June are you going. We will be down there the week of June 18th.

Enjoy!! :cool1: ::MickeyMo

Well, the two trips that I went to Disney, I always brought a bunch of snacks and drinks into every one of the parks and no one has ever said anything.
So it should not be a problem at all.

If it is a health issue related problem they won't say anything. If they do, you just tell them that your dd is hypogylcemic & may need a snack quickly.

I know I will probably bring in food for my food allergic son this way he can have safe snacks.

We've been 3 times since 2002 and never had a problem with snack or drinks.

I don't think any of the disney parks care what you bring in unless it's something dangerous to the park, it's employees, and the guests.

Our first trip was in January 2002 and they just started bag checking at make-shift tables. When we went back last April it seemed the parks had dedicated areas to check your bags.

BTW, we leave this Friday (April 29) for a week in Orlando-w00t!!!!

We will take water (so we can refill the bottle), fruit snacks, crackers, and probably some sort of breakfast bars.

We will be arriving on June 20th and just can't wait! I am really taking all of the advice to heart and am doing a countdown already!

We will be there at the same time, carrying in our snacks and water! I am just the mother of a picky eater, so I carry in things I know he will eat in the chance that we cannot find chicken nuggets!
