FOMO

Planning this June trip for DH and myself has been incredibly difficult (as it has been for most everyone planning during this time...) We have always been park commandos and trying to plan our first adults only trip - balancing down time and fitting everything in has me nuts! I'm suffering from FOMO! (the fear of missing out.)

I think the final straw is the Jungle Book show. I have my 3 FP's all set for AK and was planning on trying to get FP through booking a meal at Flame Tree. When those packages never happened, DH said never mind - let's just skip the show... it's probably not going to be that great anyway - they just threw it together... We really didn't want to give up our FP's for EE, Dinosaur, or KS at night.

Now, I have FOMO.... should I try to get a FP for JB?? We can always do single rider for EE! (but if the park is crazy busy will single rider also be super long???) Sigh... why do I do this to myself?

I have that feeling to some times when I am thinking about my trip. But my experience from my last trip (and the fact I went from 6am to 1am everyday) meant that I know I will be able to accomplish so much that it doesn't bother me.

Two things that could help:
1. You probably don't need a Dinosaur fast pass in June.
2. If you are trying to have a more relaxed adults-only trip, don't worry about doing everything. It's ok to not do every ride on every trip! After DW and I got sick on a commando trip halfway through, we've only done relaxed trips since. We love them even more!

This was our same issue too. We decided to let the FP for Dino go(probably won't need it anyway) and book a FP for the JB show. Wish we were seeing ROL but we have gone with the attitude that in a couple of years we can say - "do you remember the Jungle Book show that was here for a limited time? Glad we got to see it." :p

thanks everyone!

Ok, we've totally changed out minds...lol.... I dropped Dino and got a FP for JB.... My one concern is that we are planning on coming to AK late that day because we are going to Jellyrolls and might be out pretty late... and arriving around 3:00 and staying until 11:00pm. (We are usually RD, leave mid day, and come back in the evening people.) So, will this plan mess up being able to get onto Dino and make us really hit the worst of the crowds??? Will out attempt to to take it easy backfire!?!?

I think Flame Tree is a Quick Service place. How could you book a meal there?

I don't think it will be a problem. We don't commando anymore - either do a RD morning or a late night - so we are heading into AK around 4pm. I don't think it will be an issue to get on Dino without a big wait.

Early rumors for ROL & JB, including information taken from the HUB showed FT as a package option. This is done at DLR for World of Color - there is a CS as one of the package options.

This Flame Tree package is intriguing. I suffer from FOB (Fear of Birds). I want to try Flame Tree because the food sounds good, but I can't handle being around birds while I'm eating. Way too scary! :earseek:

Do you think the birds who hang there will be back in their roosts by nightfall?
