Yes they should test this with someone like Peter Pan who a lot of people have met already (I know not everyone but older movie, meet/greet for a while. Flynn is more rare, newish so not the best test subject.

I've been cracking up laughing all day at this actually. Last year at every Christmas party Rapunzel had extra long lines because people wanted to meet Flynn! Who was awesome and worth the wait btw but hello? They saw that and still thought this was a good idea?

Some of my kids' favorite moments were seeing characters walking to their meet and greets, like the stepsisters, so I think that this would be fun! Just seeing characters walking around, even if they didn't stop and chat, would be a thrill.

I agree. We've had some great moments like that too! Last summer at DL, I was walking through CA with DS7 and we encountered Sully walking from his meet & greet. He stopped DS and proceeded to have a scaring contest with him! DS was in heaven getting so much attention from Sully. The spontaneity of this meeting was awesome, but I do wish I had a picture or video. The way Sully pretended to be scared of DS was hysterical!

I like the Flynn Rider idea, but I'm not sure if it will work.

This will only work if people are willing to put down the smartphones that are surgically attached to their hands and start enjoying their vacation experiences without viewing the majority of it through a 3" screen. Sadly, I don't see that happening.

I disagree that Flynn is a bad character to do this with. As mentioned above, his appeal is more to moms than kids. Disney's thought is probably that the moms will get a kick out of seeing him, but not require the personalized attention that kids want from a character. I can almost guarantee that we'll see Flynn interact more with adults than children.

I realize they do meet as well but one of my favorite character moments was watching Anastasia and Drizella interact with guests on the carousel one morning. They are hilarious! I would love it if more character were around the parks more informally like this...way more magical then the meet and greets imo

I don't see this lasting past the testing. People are beings of habit and they have been taught to stand in line and wait their turn for a quick picture and autograph. I don't think there is much of a chance of him stopping to even interact with anyone, because he would be bombarded. Hope I am wrong though

I remember a long time ago Berlioz posted that they tested a solo pop-up Flynn M&G at Epcot and no one recognized him. So maybe without Rapunzel he's not nearly as recognizable to the general public as we fanatics think he is.

I was on "Marceline to Magic Kingdom" today and saw Flynn walking around asking people if they'd seen Rapunzel. He stopped VERY quickly for a picture with a couple of girls but it was quite early (before 10, we'd just got out from backstage on Haunted Mansion)

If his quest is to find Rapunzel, all you need to do is give him directions to her m&g, together with a map of the park and a lengthy lengthy lengthy instruction on how to use a fp+ to see her.

Is Flynn still around? So he techincally isn't getting a meet and greet either way? Just a casual spotting... If it even stays past testing? Any updates with this..?
