Hey all - I thought of something today... can I pack wrapped Christmas presents in my checked luggage? Or would it be safer to mail them to the destination I am flying to? I don't know if you can even pack stuff in your luggage like that. On the flight home I had planned to pack what I could of our presents into empty suitcases.

Am I going about this all wrong?:confused3

You can, but they suggest you not wrap them, if they want to inspect they will open them. Plus, if it is actually valuable stuff ie: electronics or expensive stuff, you probably dont want it in your checked bags anyway, as it could disappear.. So, unless you can do it in carry on, where you have them in your possession, I would ship them. If they are in carry on, again, dont wrap them, just in case.

Thank you!!!! I wrap my gifts really special, so I would be upset if they opened them. I will mail them out next week then. Just a good incentive to go out and get my shopping done! :rotfl:
