Flying with children?

I didn't see any groping go on. I did see a TSA agent doing their job. And I think they did it in a very professional manner. The agent explained exactly what they were doing, and that she was touching with the back of her hand.

I don't know why you insist on being so inflammatory. I kind of expect to see the TSA agent coping a feel, but that is not what was happening at all.

Once again all you have proven that no matter how professional the TSA agent is, you will insult them and accuse them of doing inappropriate things. Nothing new.

I think the TSO did a great job, and I'd be perfectly ok with that kind of inspection on any of my children. Far from groping!

I think you all misunderstood. Clearly, CPT Tripps posted that video to reassure parents traveling with children that, should their child be selected for additional inspection, there is nothing to fear.

Just wanted people to know what to expect.

If folks are OK with that kind of touching of children by strangers, well :confused3

Apparently not.;)

I wonder if people like the OP realise what a disservice they are doing to their cause? They come across as mindless peons who can only attempt to incite anger by posting inflammatory ramblings. It makes one ignore whatever they are saying, thus, possibly missing some actual information that actual supports their position.

Sad really.

Do these videos reflect the country you want?

If you mean a country where I can fly with the reasonable* expectation that someone hasn't placed a bomb on their child in order to bring down a plane? Yep.

*Becasue I know there is no way to insure we are 100% safe on an airplane. But that doesn't mean we should just give up and let the terrorists have at it.

You wouldn't like the country I want. I want a country that isn't so afraid of being PC all the time we don't do what we need to do. I would be profiling and those people would be getting a much more thorough search that would actually be effective.

As far as what they are doing I have no problem with it, none at all. They can do that with either of my children or myself. Who cares? Don't llike it don't fly, easy as that.

And by the way they aren't strangers they are uniformed security persons, I know their names if I want and I know what they are doing, (their job) therefore they aren't strangers.

People like you cause children so much angst and lead children to have no idea who or what a stranger really is.

Statistically speaking, you should be a lot more concerned about what "Uncle Bob" might be doing when you aren't around rather than what a TSA staff member is doing in full view of you and dozens of other people in a public airport.

I'm not convinced any of the security measures we've imposed as a country since 9-11 really make us truly "safer." But, they don't disturb me too much and I certainly wouldn't let it worry me about my kids or let it impact my travel plans.

Just Wow.

How about all you people who say that the people who think security has gone too far can just "Not Fly"...how about you don't fly, and let the rest of us who have not succumbed to the fear continue about our way? The chance of a terrorist being detected by our numbskull TSA is so incredibly low, there is no point to what they are doing. If you REALLY BELIEVE that 6 year olds and Granny with her walker are a THREAT, you are wrong. Yes, it could happen, but the statistics say otherwise. I fly about 10 flight segments every month, and notice that it is mainly the elderly and women given the extra scrutiny. Not men, who comprise the major demographic of the terrorists who have affected flight. Also, consider this: TSA workers and many airport employees enter and exit the checkpoints all day long without their person or belongings checked. You have no idea what they might be bringing into the secure zone, or stealing out of it (and it is NO SECRET that there are several who have been caught stealing).

IF YOU THINK, "ANYTHING FOR SECURITY" then you OUGHT TO DEMAND that EVERYONE be completely screened, every time. While you're at it, have them check your ****** and rectum.:sad2:

Which is why if you had read before you began your rant I said we should be profiling.

It still comes down to do what has been decided by our government or don't fly. No one HAS to fly, it is a free choice.

I didn't think it was PC to want the protections of any of the amendments in the Bill of Rights.

I don't know the airport security screener in the blue uniform, they will only provide their first name to you and they don't have a unique identifying ID number that is accessible to you . . . he or she is a stranger. Cowtowing to a uniform has been problematic to people in other times.

Lastly,we don't know what the limits are to the body searches airport security screeners do. The TSA refuses to publish them as regulations, and they won't discuss the process. All you have is the word of the person touching you that what they are doing is "proper."

"People like me..."? Really? perhaps it's people on the opposite side of the question that are expanding the number of intimate touches our kids get and also expanding the pool of people that are permitted to do the touching.

Link is dead. I assume the video is awful?

Just a child asking to be excused when a TSa agent tells her she is going to touch her sensative parts.
Just a cute little 6 year old saying, "mommy I don't want to."
Breaks my heart.

Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither. (Ben Franklin) What makes it worse is that these procedures provide no security, not even the feeling of security. have the modified patdowns and naked photos found ONE bomb? didn't think so.
