I'm going to try and print out our boarding passes just after midnight. When we are at the airport in line, can just one of our party (of 4) wait in the boarding area (hoping its A) and then the rest join when its closer to the actual time or is that considered bad manners?

So excited!!! Florida here we come!!!

It is not necessary to camp out in the A line at the gate. A few minutes prior to the gate opening people will rush the gate area and que up. Even if you are one of the last "A's" you will still have plenty of good seat choices.

When DD and I flew earlier in the month, she waited in line, I got food, etc.

We arrived almost 2 hrs early for each flight and each time there were numerous people already in the A line. You won't have a problem if you're getting on an empty plane, but if it's continuing, I'd recommend being EARLY in the A line. Our flights were continuing and we had trouble finding seats together.

Thanks for the info! Since our flight doesn't leave till 4:10 PM I was concerned maybe we were getting on a connecting flight. I called Southwest and they said it'll be empty when we get on.

Goldcupmom, how old is your DS? I send this link to my son so he can see the pic because your son looks so much like him! Awesome strength he must have!!! Cute pic!

Good Morning, Liz!

We are a family of 4 and when we line up in our que (typically A), we all get in line. If DH needs to wander away or take one of the kids to the restroom, it isn't a big deal because their carryon luggage is around me (no one is surprised when someone turns up next to me). SW has already figured out how many people can board in each group, so don't worry about 'bumping' someone back.

Have fun and save us a good room at POP!!! :sunny:
