Flying Fish- recent reviews

My review isn't recent - it's from last December - but I just wanted to suggest that you request to sit at the Chef's Bar - especially if you're there solo. There are about 6-8 bar stools here, and it looks right into the kitchen. You can watch the chefs prepare all the meals, and they interact with you as well.

I was there with a friend & we had a wonderful meal - she had arugula salad & steamed mussels, I had scallops over pumpkin risotto. Everything was top quality.

Thinking of going to Flying Fish in October on an adult solo trip. Any recent reviews?

I went in May with DS12 - one of our favorites. Just a warningif you're looking for a quiet place, this one gets lots of kids too - it's a bustling place but well worth the visit. Service was impeccable - I recommend their potato wrapped snapper or scallops. And their crab cake appetizer was mmmmm.

OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN DW!!! Ask for a table in back, we had a nice quiet area and WONDERFUL meal! Even met the Chef...... who we complimented!!! Going again, can't wait!

Dh and I ate there a week or so ago...one of the best, if not best, meals we've had in WDW. It's now a must-do for us!!

Peeking in....after lurking for a very long time, this is my first post. :)

I totally agree about eating at the Chef's counter. Last August my daughter and I were offered the counter or wait 1/2 for our table (yes, we had an ADR). We decided to try the counter and had the best time! We sat right in front of the Chef responsible for the risotto, sauces and fish dishes. She chatted with us during most of the meal. It was very interesting to watch.

As for the food, we had the potato-wrapped snapper. Delicious. We also had the warm chocolate peanut butter bread pudding, which was our favorite dessert of the whole trip. ;)

We ate there last Oct and again this past June and both meals were fantastic! If you click on my links there are a ton of pictures and full reviews.

We dined there on 8/20 and had a fantastic meal. DH, who is a very good cook (far better than I), gave it his highest compliment - "I couldn't make anything I ate here." We had the crabcake appetizer, potato-wrapped red snapper, and the mahi-mahi. I can't remember what DH had for dessert, but it involved fresh fruit and he loved it. I had the key lime cheesecake (I think it was cheesecake!) with the homemade key lime/pineapple sorbet, and it was wonderful.

We're definitely going there again.

We ate there on 8/6 and it was fabulous!! Food, service, everything was really wonderful.
Hoping we can get an ADR for our December trip. :)

We're staying at the Beach Club in early October for 8 nights, and I booked Flying Fish for our first night. It sounds wondeful!

  the flying fish! i had the diver scallops on a bed of rissotto (sp?) and it was AWESOME! :cloud9:

We went the end of June this year and it is now my favorite signature dining choice. I cannot say enough about it. Fabulous.

We're eating there on Columbus Day, can't wait!! I already knew it gets great reviews when I booked it but it's always nice to read more :thumbsup2

We ate there this past Wed. and it was great!

We were there on 8/12 and thought it was excellent. We had the scallops and the potato wrapped snapper. This is now one of our favorite restaurants at WDW.
