You will be if don't get your butt out here and visit me soon!! :rotfl2:

Nah, I feel like I am learning to type all over again using this thing. I am really slow so each post takes me forever!!

Belive me, I want to come visit you!

It took me forever to get used to typing on the laptop.

At least you got the important thing working, the laptop!;)

How are the kiddos doing? Are they adjusting okay?
Tell me about it! I hated not being able to be online!! I am so far behind, no way will I be able to go back and read it all. I guess you are the only one who can say they've read every page.
You deserve a trophy for that. lol

The kids seem okay so far. Even Noelle who was most opposed to it seems to be alright. It's still kind of an adventure though, and there's lots to keep busy with.
The true test will be once the stuff arrives and school starts and it's more permanent, kwim?

Then we'll see how they do.

Oh good, I'm glad I'm not the only one!! :rotfl:

So how are you?? What have you been up to? How are the kids? Still enjoying the pool?

You really haven't missed much around here, just chit chat.

Well at least you moved somewhere where there is lots to see and do. It is hard to move kids in the summer when there is nothing going on.

Are there any neighborhood kids near you?

Once school starts, they will be busy with making new friends. And it seems like Las Vegas has been having such a huge population growth, that I'm sure there will be other new kids at the school too.

How was the drive? Did everything go okay?

I feel like I haven't talked to you in ages.

I was surprised how much the laptop keyboard bothered me, it was something I had not thought about.

We are doing good. Still swimming, when it's not raining around here, which is almost every day.

I got the kids signed up for their fall activities. Jess is doing volleyball and a jazz/hip hop dance class. Jon is doing soccer and gymnastics. So that should keep them busy!

I know!! It's only been like 2 weeks but it feels longer.

The drive went really well. We left on Tuesday and made it here on a Saturday, so it wasn't too bad. It was fun to sight see along the way. I think the highlight was Mt. Rushmore. That was cool and something I'm glad the kids got to experience.

So far here we haven't met our neighbors. The house on our left always seems empty. And the one on the right has a couple that bought it and moved in the day after we did.

The school is close by, with in walking distance so that's a good thing. And with an average of 4500 new residents moving to the area every month, yeah, I think there will be other new kids. lol

I bet Mt. Rushmore was really cool to see.

That is great that the school is so close by. That should make things much easier for you with having only one car. The kids could have friends over after school without a problem, you would be able to walk them all home.:thumbsup2

Ugh sucks about the rain. Seems like Texas gets alot of it or has lately anyways.

Those activities sounds like they will be fun!!! I hope they have cool stuff like that here too.

Ruben's parents are planning to give him back his old Jeep so once that happens I'll be able to drive the van again and can hopefully get out more and take them to fun things like that.

Plus I need to look for a job once school starts. :scared1: :scared1:

Yep, the rain has been crazy here.

The kids are doing all of that at our Y. They have really great programs that aren't very expensive at all.

That is great that you will now have two cars. :yay: :yay:

Look for a job???? :scared: Although I bet you could find lots of p/t work there.

See above post about the car, lol. It will be nice to go back to having two cars again!!

So where is Anita and Deena, the other late night owls? :rolleyes1
I feel so out of touch with everyone. :sad2:

It has been dead here on the weekends, maybe only 4-5 pages from Fri night to Sun night.

Joanne is off with her family to Hershey, PA for the weekend.

Kendra is still on her beach vacation, although she should be home in the next few days.

Deena, must of passed out from posting so many smilies.:rotfl:

Anita, is probably drinking with the neighbors.;)

Oh cool, I didn't even think about the Y. What a good idea. Duh, lol. I should find out where one is around here and what they offer! Thanks!

I know, the job thing is nasty. I need something part time that will allow me to be home in the morning to get the kids off to school and then again in the afternoon when they get home. Plus I need week ends and holidays off, when they are out of school.

Gee, that's not asking too much is it? LOL

I'm thinking Target or something like that. Maybe a 10-2 shift. I dont' know. We'll see.

Check with the schools Beth, I'm sure with the population growth, the schools are gowing too. There might be something at one of the schools for you! Then you would have the same time off with the kids.

I worked for the YMCA p/t for about two years. I got a free membership and discounts for all of the kid's programs.

Wow, that is slow. But then again, week-ends usually are. Everyone out getting a life and all. lol

Hershey sounds like fun!! That's one of the places I would have liked to have gone while we were up in MI since it's not that far. Compared to now anyways. I hope she has fun!!:yay:

I forgot about Kendra's beach trip. That's cool. I know she was looking for ward to it. :)

I saw Deena's smilies!! I could use a little post boosting myself. I am so far behind now.

And as for Anita, well, I should have known. :rolleyes1

That would be nice and it would put me on the same schedule as the kids.

When we went to check out the elementary school they had a sign posted for part time cafeteria worker. It was like 19 or 20 hours a week. I wouldn't mind something like that except it was at the middle school and I told Ruben I couldn't embarrass the kids like that by working there. lol

I would do like a aide or play ground supervisor though.

All I know is I don't want anything were I have to dress up. No stuffy sales jobs with skirts and heels for me. YUCK. Been there, done that, no thanks.

I haven't even worn hose in years. lol

I agree, something at the school would be perfect for you! Get in good with the kid's teachers, let them know you want to work at the school and they will let you know when something opens up!!

Hose in Vegas???? :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Well, it's after 11 here now and the kids are still up. I need to get them into bed, so I guess I better go for now.

It was good to chat for awhile!! Talk to you later, have a good night!!

Hi Beth Nice to see you settled and your laptop working.

I would definetly look hard into a school job. You won't have to worry about managing school holidays & the job. You'll be off when they are. :)
