Many thanks to all of you on these boards. I am a long-time lurker and first-time poster who has benefited enormously from your collective wisdom.

Here are the questions that have prompted me finally to post:

1. Any idea approximately what time one would need to arrive at the America's Garden Theater in order to get a seat for the 3rd and final showing of Felix Cavaliere's Rascals on Sunday, May 4? The concert starts at 8 p.m. (with the preceding one starting at 7 p.m.). Our family will be dashing over following the earliest (5 p.m.) performance of Hoop-Dee-Doo.

2. In case the theater is full when we arrive (am assuming, perhaps incorrectly, that it does fill up for these events, and especially for the show just before Illuminations), can one hear the music nearby?

Thank you again!

Tough questions. From what I've seen in the past:

#1 We show up 45 minutes early for a showing. That means waiting while the previous show ends, then snagging a seat when the previous show lets out.

I've always gone in June. On May 4, things can only be a little slower. But I'd still be there by the time the previous show let's out.

#2 There is plenty of standing room around the stage area. The largest crowd I've ever seen was for Arlo Guthrie in the second week of June 2000. I didn't actually ask anyone in the back rows, but there seemed to be quite the standing room crowd and the volume was sufficient to reach everyone. In short, I think if you don't mind standing, it would take a heck of a crowd to shut you out.

I would think that the best strategy would be to ask the CM assigned to the area, what they suggest. CM's always have the best 411. You can see the stage & certainly hear the music from the walkway passing the theatre. If you can't get a seat, you'll still see the show from a distance.

Rascals "Good Lovin", possibly the best rock song of all time! :smooth:

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond! These replies have really answered my questions (and put me at ease).

Thanks Mama Twinkles for a question I didn't think to ask.

I am looking forward to seeing Davy Jones on Apr 25th. Which being the first day of the Flower and Garden show and the end of Easter week will probably be pretty crowded.

I will remember that 45 minute rule.

Thank you!
