Our kids were so impressed with the life vests that we borrowed while staying at the BWVs (the same lifevests you borrow at Blizzard Beach), that we bought them for them for Christmas. We will get lots of use out of them at home, but can I take them on the boat for use in the Goofy pool? How about the pool at the Raddisson? Most of the pools we frequent at home don't let you use any sort of floatation device in the pool (no water wings, no swimsuits with the built in floaties).

You can use them at Castaway. I've never seen any floatation devices in the Goofy Pool...that doesn't tell you whether or not they are allowed, just that in 9 cruises, I haven't seen them. Most of the kids of an age to need floatation are in the Mickey pool.

Both our kids wore life vests in the Goofy pool last week. We did not stay there long as there were just too may kids jumping into th epool and it was not fun trying to dodge the jumpers.

We took DS's life jacket on the Wonder last year and used it in the Goofy pool as well as on CC. He was 5 but he is a little guy, still only 44", and the Goofy pool is 48" all the way around. I haven't been able to get him into any swim lessons this winter (they are always full!) so I imagine we'll be taking it again this summer.

I don't know if you have seen pictures of the Goofy pool with people in it. It's not very big (it is 4 feet deep). If someone was floating in a somewhat horizontal orientation, they would be taking up "more than their fair share" of pool real estate:D . And there are people who insist on jumping into the pool (which is not safe with this size pool and this many people in it).

Thanks, I don't anticipate a lot of pool use in the Goofy pool (although the lifevests at Castway Cay is a great idea - I do see us spending a lot of time in the water there) - too much to do other places and too crowded - plus it isn't the Mickey pool. My kids will probably do most of there swimming first thing in the morning I'm thinking that the pool won't be too crowded then (if its ever not crowded).

My son used water wings in the Goofy pool which we were able to purchase poolside on the Magic for only $3.00.
