We just got back from Pensacola Beach....took the family out there for a little R & R. It was a "chamber of commerce" kind of day. Not a cloud in the sky....wavey enough for good boogie boarding....the sounds of families having a good time........
but
you could sense that everyone there was thinking about what was happening to the folks to our south-east in the south-central part of the state.
It's kind of exciting when you first hear of a hurricane heading your way....everyone scurrying around....breaks up the routine.
But from personal experience, once the weather starts deteriorating, and you lose electricity....the severity of the situation becomes real. As slow as Frances is moving, this is going to be a scary time for those folks.
Just wanted you guys down there to know you're in our thoughts and prayers. Stay safe. Look out for your neighbors.
Also just found out that the latest projected path of Frances brings her right through Pensacola after she gets back into the Gulf.
