...have passed the smoking ban (and the constitutional protection for pigs :rolleyes: ).

Do you think the ban will affect your travel plans?

If you live in Florida, will the ban change the way you go out for dinner or recreation?

Just wondering how the new decision will be perceived by others.

It won't change a thing for me, and I'm an occasional smoker.

I do think it was the wrong thing to do to private business owners, telling them how to run their businesses.

Being non-smokers, we will probally just enjoy the times we go out for dinner more. I don't think it will affect the # of times we dine out tho. It will be nicer to go into a bowling alley with my boys and not be surrounded by a cloud of smoke. That being said, both my DH and I decided not to vote on the issue because we couldn't decide if we felt it was right to force this on businesses and smokers.
I do wonder when I will go into effect, the paper did say lawmakers will set penalties next year.

Dammit, smoking makes me so mad. What the hell is the point in putting toxic fumes into your lungs, and charring them slowly over time, until finally you die out from an incredible infection of throat cancer. Plus, your killing twice as many people around you while you smoke, so technically you're commiting murder. I just don't see why the government bans smoking all across the United States in one swift action.

::sigh::

OMG RoqueC :rolleyes:

OK THIS I can see as being inappropriate for an amendment.
