Florida fruit question

I have a fruit question. Up in the northern states the summer fruit is wonderful (berries, peaches, plums, nectarines) and the winter is boring apples, oranges. The question I have is since it's hot most of the time in Florida is there "summer fruit" during the autumn/winter months. I'll be in WDW at the end of October and would love to grab summer "good" fruit! LOL

The only thing I've noticed since moving here is that I can get berries at a reasonable price. In Missouri, blueberries and raspberries were very expensive. They are very reasonable here. I haven't noticed vast amounts of other produce at great prices. The oranges on the trees around me are still green. If I remember correctly from my trip down here last year, they were ripe in October. Maybe I'll see a difference then. I can tell you that beef prices here are much higher than in Missouri.

Keep in mind that October is technically still not cool enough to be considered winter.

I believe there are some varieties of peaches and nectarines that are in season in September. Not sure about October.

The BEST winter fruit, however comes out in January. I order at least two crates of Cushman's Honeybell Tangelos every year. They are AMAZING!
