Floats @Castaway Cay & waves?

What are the floats like at Castaway Cay? Are they just regular blow up floats that you buy at the drug store? We have one and I may just pack it and save the $6 if the floats are the same.

What's the water like at the beaches? Is it calm enough to just float in leisurely ?

The water was very calm when we were ther just little ripples but I bet it depends on the weather.

Here they are........

The family beach is in a protected cove so the water is pretty calm all the time...unless it is really windy out. The adult beach can have bigger waves as it is not protected by a reef wall.

I have never been to Castaway Cay when there were waves on the family beach (hah, I sound like I have been so many times-2 to be exact!) On our last cruise in July there was some pretty nasty weather towards the end of the day. Water Spouts were showing up everywere (little water tornados) yet we had no waves. I think it all depends.
