Do your kids have it? Is it non-toxic? I went to the official website but I don't see where it says non-toxic or non-staining. Anyone have any more info on this stuff?

I am curious if kid's really play with it. My dd has been asking for it for a year, even offered to pay for it out of her own allowance money. I fear it would just be a big waste. Anyone have any experience?

my daughter also wanted to buy it with her own money and I was talking to some other parents about it and one had gotten it for her daughter and said it was a major waste of money...it worked nothing like the TV commercials so I never ordered it for her!

We had it .It turns into 1 big gloopy mess

SIL sent it up from VA THANKS NOT. It's stupid & messy & I threw it away when no one was looking. They still have not noticed

I'm sending a DRUM SET down to Thank her.

They have this at Target..DD3 wants it also (not getting it) I told her that I will never buy it for her...she told me that is okay Grandma will get it for me...If grandma does I may set the child in her bed to play with it (just kidding) Grandma hates playdough so floam is not happening.

I think I had some of this stuff growing up. NOt really worth it. It is much more fun to play with playdoh and the like. Also it does stain fabric so be carefull with it.

I had it when I was younger. It smelled HORRIBLE, stuck to everything, and was a great big mess! I agree with the others, not worth the money.

This is based on personal experience, .... yes, it IS Non-toxic. Although, the poison control center did NOT know when I called them!!!
There is NOTHING on the packaging to indicate whether it is or isn't.
But, it sure doesn't agree with an 18-month old!

We have it. I found it to be a lot less messier than playdough. It doesn't leave little crumbs. Actually it isn't messy at all. It seems to be on the drier side. It is a waste of money actually LOL. But that is debatable with a lot of my kids toys ;) Anyway, it actually sort of evaporates or shrinks up a lot the more it is played with. I have a recipe for home made playdough that is awesome. It seems to last forever :)

My biggest complaint is that it separates. My DD made this little picture that she put inside a box. When she went to open it up, the gel had separated from the beads. Its weird. Not quite sure I would get it a second time but she loves it.

Thanks everyone! I won't be ordering Floam any time soon!

I think this is the stuff that got into our carpet....and is still there!

Invest in Model Magic for artwork; Play Do for playing. I know PD makes it's own special kind of mess, but it would occupy my kids for hours - so what was a few minutes of clean up?

Our local Wal-green's sells it. My DS10 will buy a pack now and then. I end up throwing it away after a day or two. Not worth it if you ask me.

My dd3 was asking for this stuff for her bday, and of course, grama got it for her. In every color.

I haven't opened our package yet (I'm not taking any chances on light colored carpet!) I told her she could open it when the weather gets warmer and we take it outside.

But, her 3 year old cousin just got it for her bday last weekend, and they started playing with it. It actually wasn't as bad as I thought. It is definitely cleaner than playdoh, but as far as it doing anything that it said on the commercials (molding things, etc.) I doubt it would stick. I don't mind it for dd, it's more of a sensory thing, and all she likes doing is pulling it apart and making it into balls anyway, if it lasts a few days, and she enjoys it, fine. I'll throw it out after that, and it will probably be forgotten about.
