Flip side of rude CM's - Rude guests!

u wudnt have laughed in 1999 doooooooooooood things were different back then. dont hava dig at me anyway, these quincy groups or whatever they are called ruined mine, and probably a LOT of other peoples days out.

And without trying to be pedantic, why are they even there if they are not going to do anything, if i individually did this then i would have been ejected from the park. FACT.

Dont get me wrong i love disney and without CM's it would be a harder place to enjoy, but in this instance they sucked..lots.

Actually, that's your assumption, and generally-speaking it is incorrect. Sorry.

The CMs are there to direct guests in the correct direction, and ensure their safety.

I despise Brazil groups. I remember that incident and it still happens to this dang day. I was there in July and it was like the whole state of Brazil was there. I've noticed though I mainly see them in full force in July and every few years cause I didn't see any the previous year.

:scratchin What's a "dood"?! is that "dude" spelled weird lol...i'm so confused.

As far as rude guests...uhhh none that I can remember.

Bicker,

Yes its my assumption and i think its probably correct

Hope u had fun in egypt :thumbsup2

ps. yes dood = dude. lol wish i never stated that i said that now :rolleyes1

Keep race out of it please. There are plenty of 'entitled' people of all colors, shapes and sizes. A cooment like that is just as bad as the people you are putting down.

Don't forget it's PC to bash the white race especially white males. Every other group is off limits.

Honestly, the Brazilian Tour Groups are a problem for most Cast Members as well as guests. They tend to scream and chant Brazilian songs (kinda like cheerleaders) at the top of their lungs while people are trying to enjoy the attractions. Also, on numerous occasions, according to my friend Eduardo (a native of Brazil, who speaks Portuguese fluently) the kids in these groups, pretend they can't speak English when they can and say mean things to Cast Members and guests for no reason in Portuguese... The only thing worse than the Brazilian Tour Groups is Pop Warner.... .....

There really are no rude people at WDW. These are really just CM's acting as rude people to other CM's so that the rest of us will watch and learn from it how not to act. Man they think of everything. :thumbsup2

There's a whole section of The Cheating Culture by David Callaghan devoted to how cheating like that is a fundamental part of Brazillian culture. I'm not sure how true it is, but it appears to be pretty well documnted. Luckily it isn't as much of a problem at WDW as it once was.

I give the CM's credit for dealing with them. It's a nightmare for both, if I could avoid them I would. I just learned to go opposite of whatever way they were going.

I am surprised how often when I am in a park and just talking to a CM (usually pin trading) that another guest walks up, acts like I am invisible and just interupts the conversation and starts talking. :confused3 It is hard to carry a conversation past just a few sentences with a CM due to this. :confused3
Many times over these years as a fellow guest I have felt invisible because people just decide others can be pushed, shoved, run into, yelled into, poked, etc. To some it is as if others are invisible or mere inanimate objects. :confused3

Once while on Splash Mountain, some dolt in front of me went on the ride wearing a baseball cap. When we went down the main hill, his hat of course blew off. It was in the dark, and the bill of the cap hit me in the forehead. It hit with such force that it stunned me and drew blood. Needless to say, I was more than a little ticked at the guy. When we got off the ride, I confronted him and suggested that next time he obey the ride rules and take off his hat. Not only didn't he apoligize, but he actually had the nerve to laugh at me and call me a little baby while I had blood dripping down my face. I asked if he would like a matching crease in his forehead, but he walked away. It's too bad that there are idiots like that around to spoil everyone else's fun.

Phillybeth...obviously I was being sarcastic!
About the "white, well-fed" part, that is! I am an equally opportunity disliker of ALL people who think their poop=la-doop doesn't stink!!!!

I've seen rude behavior towards CMs before. One lady had a fit at Camp Minnie Mickey because Chip and Dale wouldn't sign her son's tee shirt while he was wearing it. The lady told her kid to take off his shirt to get the autograph and the CM said he could change into another shirt and the characters can sign it but he could not be topless in the park. The lady had a cow in front of everyone about how it was her son's birthday and these are his favorite characters etc. etc. The kids were older like 11 or 12 and they kept saying "Mom it's okay! We don't need autographs" My son was 6 at the time and he was just staring at her in shock.

Out of all the trips throughout the years, I've only experienced one semi annoying CM that I can remember. I was on Space Mt. with my son and I asked the CM if he was sure that my son's restraint was down since he was in the seat in front of me and I couldn't see if it was down all the way. Yes, I know he could do it himself but I was concerned anyway. Well, the CM went on and on about how he checks thousands of restraints a day and nobody is more important than anyone else blah blah blah. I smiled and nodded, but I thought to myself "just shut up and make sure my boy is safe buddy save the lecture" But I would never say it!! :bitelip:

Just a note on the large groups vs CM thing...
While CMs can tell groups that they need to stay back or whatnot, there is not much they can do as they are not allowed to physically touch guests. (Not that this keeps guests from touching, poking, pushing, and even hittig CMs) One of my good friends worked at JC and she was punched by a guest in the face b/c the guest thought the CMs were not getting the guest a wheelchair fast enough when that guests rented wheelchair had been taken by another guest.

Slightly OT (kinda, maybe, just a little bit)...but...I really didn't want to get into this with the first post, but...(as I put on my flame suit) if you tell me "Merry Christmas," I'm going to immediatly respond with "Happy Hanukkah (or Chanukah, your choice)." Being Jewish, I don't appreciate it when people assume my religion is the same as their's.

As others have stated, by saying "Happy Holidays," the CM's are ensuring that they don't leave anyone out of place. It's not like we all carry signs saying "Christian," "Muslim," "Jewish," etc. so the CM can custom create a holiday greeting for each guest. If the CM's all said "Merry Christmas" to everyone, I can assure you that there would be a large group of people that would not be OK with that.

So, in conclusion, by saying "Happy Holidays," the CM's are protecting both themselves from singling out certain groups (and looking prejudice) AND people of other religions (myself included) from feeling singled out (and therefore loosing some of the magic that we all go to WDW for) by not fitting in with "the norm."

OK...that's my rant. Flame as you see fit!
