Flip flops

I have worn my Sanuk's several times to the parks. I have found that my lower legs hurt after eight hours. I do better with my sneakers on if its going to be a long day there. But it is hotter. I often bring both in the car and change if we park hop or take a break.

I alternate between Clarks flip flops, a pair of sandals that kind of look like Tevas but are another brand and have velcro tops and a pair of cushy slides that also have a velcro top. That way when my feet swell I can adjust them, if it rains it's no big deal because they all three dry quick. I switch them out every day so my feet won't hurt. I wear cheap flip flops around town and at home but can't wear them at the parks since they have no support or cushions and the plastic on top and between the toes tend to rub blisters. All my sandals that I wear have tops made out of some sort of cloth.

I wear flip flops In all the parks just be careful if it rains you foot might slip in wet flip flops

I wear them a lot around home and my city, but due to my arthritis try to avoid them and wear 'sensible' shoes for walking long distances. But if you're comfortable in them go ahead!

I wear mine everyday, but do being sneakers just in case I need a break.

Ladies, do you wear flip flops in the parks? I love walking in flip flops and find them very comfortable even over long distances. I'm thinking of wearing them to the parks. Then I was thinking - is there the possibility they could come off on some of the roller coasters? Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

I live in flip flops at home, so that's all I wear in Disney. I find them very comfortable and have never had a problem wearing them in the parks.

I bought the Nike soft flip flops for the parks last year. I loved them. I also have the croc flip flops those are also good. I wouldn't recommend the cheap old navy flip flops for the long park days.....I learned the hard way. Never again. If my feet are enclosed it makes me hotter. Since we travel in August I need all the ventilation I can get lol

Up until recently I swore by flip flops in the parks. Last year we went down for our wedding trip, and I wore sneakers to preserve my feet and was surprised at how they didn't throb at the end of the day. Then again, after my most recent trip (averaging 12 miles per day) they still hurt, so I'd rather release them from sneakers.

I wore tennis shoes for our first day and then wore my sanuk yoga mat flip flops the rest of the time! I found them very comfortable. I also live in flip flops or sandals April-October though, so I am very used to them. I am going to buy another pair to alternate with before my trip this year.

It's all we've been wearing - my Clarks, my Nikes and my Aerosoles. And have not had any problems with them coming off on rides, blisters, comfort etc... I would NOT wear cheap flip flops. Buy a quality pair.

I alternate between my Teva Mush flip flops and my Keen water sandals. If it's raining, or if we are going to get wet I prefer the Keens, especially in a heavy downpour and puddles. The flip flops tend to just slide off your feet in water

I do well in rainbow brand flip flops. Good arch support. I also get blisters with tennis shoes. I hate real shoes. My feet hurt after wearing good sneakers, but not flip flops.

Another who only wears flip flops :) we walk a lot every day at home, so I wear what I am used to. If I wore shoes my feet would hate me lol

I used to always were flops in the parks- loved them. Unfortunately I had a nasty bout with plantar fasciitis for the last year and am no longer able to wear flops at all..ever. :(

I really missed the ease and comfort of them, the heavier athletics shoes are awful, but at least my foot doesn't hurt!
Have you tried Orthaheel tide sandals? They are often recommended for PF. I wear them around the house since it hurts too much to go barefoot and we don't wear (outside) shoes in our house. They took awhile to get used to but now I can't live without them! I am also able to wear Chaco flips and olukai flips. Orthaheel has the most support. I have never tried flip flops in the parks though.

I have orthaheel sandals along with a pair of Finns that are the best sandal I've ever worn- but really, really pricey. They both have straps on the heels though. I love flops but the Dr says absolutely no flops anytime. I wear the orthaheels around the house, they really are great sandals.

We are a Crocs Athens flip flop family (myself, husband, and two sons). Several trips since 2007, and all we've ever worn while in WDW are these flip flops. No blisters, no aches, and no lost shoes on rides. We put them in the basket under the seat on Soarin' but that's the only one. During warm weather months I live in these shoes.

I wear the Sanuk Yoga Mat flip flops - I wear them everyday at home and have never had an issue at the parks (and we walk an average of seven miles a day).
I wear these same exact flip flops at home and in parks. They are awesome!

Oh my...I see a couple of new pairs of flip flops in my future! And I looked up their website. Flip flop heaven! :D

I had to buy the turquoise strap ones I linked to, since I didn't have that color yet and it is one of my favorite colors, so I am very happy that I decided to look up the name of the sandals and the link for this thread! I also ordered Reef's other padded flip-flop, the one with padding that looks like ocean waves, which I had not seen before last night. And I found a different brand of sandal that is for wearing in the water, which will be nice for the beach! My wallet is a little lighter, but I am glad for this thread! :mickeyjum
