Hey Guys!

Wondered if anyone knew of some really good quality, comfy flip flops that don't have thick straps?!

I have some good Teva's which are really comfy but last year I took some not some comfy ones which shredded my feet and had to plaster my feet up every morning!

Im after the ones that go between your toes that I can break in well before we leave. If anyone has any recommendations it would be much appreciated! :flower3:

I am lurving my fit flops right now. Comfortable, bouncy soles, even walking the dog wearing these when the Scottish weather allows!

I have just bought a pair of Croc tone clogs and I prefer my fit flops over my crocs!!!! I do have fat feet! So I need a shoe that's not too narrow over the top of my foot.

Got mine for half price on ebay :goodvibes

They are my favourite shoe and really looking forward to some Florida Sunshine so I can wear them everyday to the parks. Yes they are so THAT comfy!

Happy shoe shopping :flower3:

Upto about 3 years ago flip flops were the only footwear I wore around the parks. Unfortunately after a drop of rain one day I slipped going into Space Mountain, not worn them since, only wear trainers now.

I have been as well! I've just been worried that the thick straps would be too hot. I know that sounds silly but I don't want me feet to feel suffocated.

Don't hesitate to buy them! They are my comfiest pair of shoes right now. If it wasn't so chilly I would wear them everyday! Scared I wear them out before our trip on Oct!

The soles have a fair grip, but I guess if the ground was wet then potential for slipping is there, but not anymore so than with crocs. And they are far easier to walk in than crocs, not had any of that sudden tripping over my feet that you get when u start wearing crocs. Don't get me wrong I love my crocs. I wear them at home and at work for a 12 hour shift. I work in a hospital theatre, so lots of wet floors!

Really good price, might get some

I use birkenstocks gizah use them all the time hear and disney

wow, Nikki, those look really comfy and look as if they hold the foot really well!
unfortunately, after many tries, i know that i cannot wear anything between my toes...
really too bad, as they look wonderful!!

Compeed Anti-Blister Stick is a miracle product that's saved me from shredded feet ever since I discovered it. Last weekend I walked miles in a pair of brand new toe-thong sandals: something I'd never have considered without it. It's like lip salve (in fact that may work just as well) and prevents the friction that causes blisters.

This is brilliant stuff! :thumbsup2 Last year I bought an Avon one that you 'paint' onto the areas of skin prone to rubbing against the shoe (the little round disc thingy on the inside of my crocs always catches the underside of my instep) and it worked a dream. I think I only paid £2 for it.

Whatever you decide to buy there are two things worth remembering:

  1. Never wear brand new shoes at the parks. Make sure you break them in really well at home first.
  2. If you have flip flops, crocs or anything intended for use around pools, try break them in inside the house as much as possible so that you don't wear down the traction on the soles too much. My crocs were fine last year when I did this. Two years prior I had worn them well thinking they would be comfy, which they were - but sooo slippery on wet surfaces.

I like Ipanema flip flops, available from Debenhams and other places. They are really comfy and are all rubber/similar material so they don't slip and they don't get damaged at all in large amounts of rain/water slides

I know they are not Fit flops or flip flops but we all have "Toms "for our October trip. They are very comfy, quite small in size so i would try them on however we dont know how they are going to stand up to getting very wet!! Think we will take them off for the water rides?

I'm a 2 pairs for $5 from Old Navy kinda gal when it comes to flip flops! Have had (and still do) several pairs and they've always been as good as more expensive pairs I've bought, plus they're cheap as chips and in a variety of colours!

I bought a $5 pair from Old Navy years ago and I loved them!! I wore them to death :(

I think ill have a look a bit more at fit flops, they are really cheap on Amazon!

I got Disney fitflops for my birthday in Epcot last year. I absolutely love them and wore them all the time. They held up brilliantly they will be my first choice again when summer finally comes ... ... :)

How much are Disney fitflops over there? Deciding whether to wait till we get over there or buy here in advance - those in the sale on the Boots website posted here look a great deal.

Do they need wearing in a bit to be comfortable?

We are going to WDW in 2 months but when we went over to DLR in California this April I suffered badly from pain underneath one foot for the first time - and we only went for 1 week. In WDW will be going for 2 weeks and there's much more walking involved (as you know). Don't want to be in pain all holiday but usually don't 'do' flipflops and the 'between the toes thing':rotfl:

I bought a pair of Disney Fit Flops in Epcot last September, I think they cost $50. I made the mistake of wearing them right away and suffered for it! I had to wear trainers for a week afterwards, so I think they need to be worn in before they're comfortable for the amount of walking you have to do at WDW.
