Flip Flops, seriously??

You may be fine with them especially if you are used to them, used to walking on pavement in them, and you don't have knee or back issues. _I_ would not wear them because of getting stepped on in thick ques and by people not watching where they were going. I'd also fear my toesies being mowed down by a stroller Nazi.

*shrugs* I wore my Speedo flip flops at MGM on park day 4 on our last trip and didn't have any problems. I guess Disers say not to so you can protect you feet from nail or feet damage. I can see a potential injury happening getting on and off attractions or even losing a flop if you're not careful. I made sure to take off my flops and hold them in my hands on thrill rides.

I bought a pair of Sanuks at Universal one trip and I never take them off from March through October. I have worn them every vacation I have taken since and all summer long. I have bought 4 or 5 pairs now. I cannot stand to wear tennis shoes to Disney/Universal/Six Flags. Too hot and confining. With flip flops, you do not have to worry about water either. Just bought Adidas ones this year with a memory foam type padding. They feel good, but not that wide. Does anyone else who wears flip flops all the time find they have really wide feet now? Come fall, I have to squeeze my feet in warmer shoes. I just ordered a pair of Crocs from all the reviews on these boards. I'm not sure about them, but figure I will give them to my son if they don't work out for me. But, I could NEVER wear the cheap ones. I do not like plastic between my toes.

DH makes fun because I will always remember to take dress flip flops on vacations, too. We did a lot of walking on trips to Vegas and Mexico. Had to have something pretty and comfortable to wear to dinner.

I just got back and wore my alllllll day at the parks for 2 weeks and my feet were quite happy!

DD and I spent 10 days at WDW the first of this month and lived in our Teva Mush flip-flops.

No sore feet or legs for us.

I live in flip flops too, when it is not snowing I love to have my flip flops on. In my opinion absolutely not!! do not wear flip flops, I wear my sandals teva's with straps, or sneakers. Wearing flip flops you have no arch support so by mid afternoon you are going to be hurting and wanting to go back and change. Remember Disney is great as long as your feet don't hurt and you can get around.

Flip-flops? Are you kidding? I wouldn't go to WDW without them! I even wore them on the nicer days in December. I can't imagine wearing sneakers when it's HOT outside - I won't even pack a pair of sneakers for my August trip. I'll wear any kind that doesn't have thick rubber between my toes. My current favs are my Crocs Capris, a pair of black ones from ESNY, a pair of lime green from Maui Island Sandals, and a pair of Mickey ones from Avon.

Wearing flip flops you have no arch support so by mid afternoon you are going to be hurting and wanting to go back and change.

Not entirely true, I've got at least 3 pairs of flip flops that do have arch support. Granted, they aren't the cheapo Wal-Mart/Old Navy kind, they're American Eagle (the store, not the brand at payless). I'm planning on taking at least 1 or 2 of the pairs with me on my trip. I do like something with a heel strap though for when I'll be pushing my mum's wheelchair uphill.

Another vote for flips! I wore them every day of my 8 day trips last year and plan to wear them again for my 10 day this summer! They are the best! Easy on, easy off and so nice and cool. It is so hot in the summer it makes me hotter just to LOOK at people who wear sneakers!

I wore flip flops last summer the entire two weeks I was in Disney - My feet didn't see a sneaker nor a sock.

My feet were in heaven - cool, comfortable, able to breathe, etc.

I plan on wearing flips flops again this year. My favorite are keds and I just bought two pairs of Zealands.

Have you ever tried Reef flip-flops? They have a bottle opener on the sole! My DH and I both had a pair last year on our Disney Trip. We wore those for 6 days straight. They so comfy! I have been wanting to try the croc flip flops, but the Reefs are just so nice, I don't know if I will like the crocs as well. Bottom Line.... You won't catch me at WDW without my Reefs!

I was worried when I went to WDW in March what to wear. I packed shoes, and never wore them. I stuck with my old navy flip flops and my feet were never sore. ( I can only wear old navy ones b/c the plastic tops on others give me blisters) Stick with what your comfortable with. My advice Go with flip flops!

My last four visits to WDW and DL I have worn nothing but reef flip-flops. Reefs are like pillows on your feet and feel great. I am planning on buying a new pair of reefs to wear on my august trip. Reefs all the way!

I am an avid flip flop wearer -- EXCEPT at WDW. On our honeymoon, I wore my Reef flips one day, and wanted to cry by the end of it. My feet were KILLING me, but it could have been because I was standing in lines for a long time (it was Christmas week).

Last summer, DH and I both wore our Crocs Beaches, and we were SO glad we did! It rained every single day of our trip, hard torrential rain that lasted for an hour or so each day. In our Crocs, we were super happy and comfy and most importantly, our shoes stayed on our feet -- everyone in flip flops was slipping out of their shoes everywhere we looked! Keep that in mind.. it does rain a fair amount in FL, and the rubber bottoms of flip flops get very slippery!

Okay, in the summer I live in flip flops....(and I'm a shoe woman)...I love shoes, I buy shoes, I have shoes in boxes I have never worn because they are beautiful, but not functional...but in the summer I love flip flops, all kinds from the $2 Wal-Mart special to Rocket Dogs, Nike, etc....

All I hear is not to wear flip flops to the parks....seriously, why? Are there other usual flip flop wearer's that have worn them to the parks and had issues? Any that have been okay?

Please advise...

I wore my Teva flip flops practically the whole time i was at Disney last year. Super comfy and my dd and i would be in the parks from morning until night.

We live in S.C. and it's all flip flops, all the time here! That is all I wear, so they are also what I wear to the parks most of the time!! Except for our December trips, and then its my UGGs!

I love my Teva Mush flip flops!! I have 3 pair and DH has 2 pair. I even walk in them on my treadmill.
