Flip Flops, seriously??

Okay, in the summer I live in flip flops....(and I'm a shoe woman)...I love shoes, I buy shoes, I have shoes in boxes I have never worn because they are beautiful, but not functional...but in the summer I love flip flops, all kinds from the $2 Wal-Mart special to Rocket Dogs, Nike, etc....

All I hear is not to wear flip flops to the parks....seriously, why? Are there other usual flip flop wearer's that have worn them to the parks and had issues? Any that have been okay?

Please advise...

I've worn my Havaianas flip flops to the parks before because they're so comfortable. No blisters or tired feet! They were great.

I wore flip flops the whole 2 weeks we were there last summer and had no problems at all. I'm planning on doing the same this year!

I live in my flip flops during the summer as well. I don't see the big deal as long as they are comfortable.

I would wear them to a park.
I would wear them in the dark.
I would wear them on a plane.
I would wear them in the rain.
I love my flip flops - you can see!
And I will wear them at Disney.

I don't know, I think in all of my over planning and perusing the boards, I got paranoid! Logically, I couldn't see the difference...but some folks are so adamant!

I live in flip-flops from April to October.

I wore my Croc Athens flip flops last August for 10 days straight & my feet felt great. No problems at all. I hate shoes. I love my flip-flops

I agree 100%! I always wear flip flops in the summer. A few trips ago I tried wearing sneakers, too hot and uncomfortable, besides it reminded me too much of working out (that's the only time I wear sneakers ). Now I always wear flip flops in the parks....may wear out a few but that's ok I've got plenty

Wear what you will be comfortable in!!

I couldn't wear flip flops at WDW because I wear them for about 1 hour total all summer. I can wear my Tevas and Keds though, because that's my normal footwear.

Now my son plans on taking his flip flops along with other footwear. I'm sure he'll be in flip flops most of the time. He loves them and even has fur lined ones for the winter.

I wore flip flops, they were great! Although I can see some pairs hurting, depending what the top part is made of (some of the plastic kinds might hurt because of the rubbing I'm guessing). Just make sure that the top part is comfy, that's the most important thing IMO

I wear flip flops, normally, but I just bought my first pair of Rocket Dogs that I'm hoping to break in for my September trip. I may only wear them when it rains and my teva's on other days. I like to wear my crocs when I go at Christmas.

My dd16 lives in flip flops, has worn them on both our trips to disney and has never complained about sore feet or anything.

I took broken in Nikes & Crocs and they stayed in my suitcase all week. I spent the entire time in my favorite Adidas flip flops.

My daughter and myself also only wear flip flops, we have tracked our mileage at about 8 -10 miles a day while at WDW.

I wear flip flops close to every day of my life (I live in Florida, so why not?), so the only times I wear sneakers are 1) to the gym, and 2) to Disney. My feet are completely used to my flip flops in my day-to-day life, but the fact of the matter is, for me, I don't do nearly as much standing in my daily life as I do when I'm in WDW. So I need the extra padding my sneakers provide to keep my feet from getting sore. I know a lot of people can handle it... but it's just not for me.

I wear flip flops all Summer. Last year we went on an 8 day trip. I started out in my Crocs Athens cuz they felt sooo comfy. By the middle of day 2 I had a blister on the back bottom of my heel. For some reason because of the way the Athens were tilted...the raised backing rubbed against that part of my heel. I've never had blisters before! So that was the end of those crocs...waste of 30 dollars. I spent the rest of my time in my 4 dollar Eeyore flip flops from the disney store with no problems...go figure.

Have you worn your flips flops to hike around someplace, like a zoo, for an entire day, or the mall, or other time when you were on your feet all day? If not, give them a test run. If so you'll be fine!
