Flip Flops at WDW

I wore flip flops on both my trips last year (Jan for 8 days, June for 5 days) and I had no problems. I wear flip flops everyday from April to October, so I'm used to them. I only wear the flip flops from Old Navy and I find them VERY comfy. However, I make sure to apply sunscreen to the tops of my feet so they don't get sunburned and I always apply Body Glide to the sides of my feet. By using Body Glide, I've never gotten a blister. I even apply it to my DD's feet (she wears the mary jane crocs to the park).

I've seen people wearing flip flops and I am a huge fan of them(they're my sole shoe during the summer) myself but I often wondered how feasible they were when you walk all day at a park and getting on and off the rides. After reading everyones comments I might just try them for our May trip this year. I usually bring my sport shoes but my feet always get so hot. I've seen a couple different comments on the Teva Mush and the Sanuk(sp) Yoga Mat ones... is there anyone who has either pair and suggests one over the other? Is there anyone with the Teva Mush that can answer... Do they have an arch? They look like they do in the pictures I have looked at... Thanks so much!!

I switch between flip flops and sneakers. I can wear the Old Navy flip flops with no problem. Actually, they're the only ones I can wear without a problem.

I love, love, love Volatile sandals! Most comfortable shoe I've ever worn, bar none. I have a very high arch and cannot wear very flat shoes, like Havianas or Sanuk. I tried the Teva Mush, which were comfy, but the exaggerated arch support felt as if I had a rock under my foot. The wedge on this is just perfect for me, and the cushioned insole is like walking on a cloud.

I wear these to work and have no problem being on my feet for 8-10 hours at a time. Also wore them to WDW last year - alternating between these two styles - and had no problem with blisters or foot pain or discomfort.

They're not inexpensive, but sometimes you can find last year's styles marked down at Marshall's or on sites like 6pm. The newer styles are carried on Shoes.com and Shoemall.com, and there are always coupons floating around the net for those sites, which also offer free shipping.

Adidas Flip Flops with something they call FitFoam on the bottom. Its like the material they make tempurpedic beds out of, very cushy & comfy. I can't "power walk" in them but they're great for the parks. I've tried FitFlops but they HURT the top of my feet and the straps have absolutely no give to them. I also like the Teva Mush. DD (25) walks around in flip flops all day and, yes, the cheap Old Navy ones. She takes them to WDW every year with no complaints.

I am a proup flip flop wearer! Last year I wore my Sperry flip flps, and did great. It was raining, they got soaked, and since they are slip resistant, I never once slipped. I wore my old navy flip flops once (we were just going out to eat) and I busted my butt walking down the hallway at SSR. If she wants to wear flip flops, I would spend the extra money on a pair with good support. I love old navy flip flops, but after walking all day, my feet hurt. Wal-Mart and Payless flip flops give me blisters! Croc flip flops seem to have good support. I also never had a problem with my reef flip flops. One tip I must give you is make dd wear the new flip flops for at least a few days before you go on vacation. Don't be like my dh who insisted on wearing brand new flip flops to the parks last year, and we ended up buying him a new pair mid day!!! Even the most expensive shoes can tear up your feet after a long day of walking.
