Flights only or package holiday

Can anybody help me I have been searching for some flights at xmas and not sure which site to use. We have never flown indirect and it seems that is the cheaper option. There are 5 of us 2 adults and 3 children but the childrens ages mean 2 of them pay adult prices. I have looked at a package holidays also but really want to stay in a villa but packages for a villa seem more expensive. Has anyody else had any experiences of this

for packages then I have used www.holidaygenieflorida.com and www.travelrepublic.co.uk but like yourslef I find that the packages are a little expensive at the moment

We got flights this year (late April) for £705 for 2, and hotel £315, car hire £305......whereas the cheapest package we found for the same time was £1200 each.........not including the car hire..........so by booking separately we have saved almost £1100.........

We,ve used (www.flydeals.co.uk) several times and found them very good.
Have'nt looked at there prices recently, as we've booked A package deal with TA for our next trip.

good luck christms can be veryy expensive for flights id reccomend booking soon, we booked a few months ago and had to be fexii on our dates as they didnt have dates for us all to go together that we wanted, everyone seems to want to fly home at the same time!

This year there has been some great deal for Xmas, up a little now but still not bad if you are willing to go indirect, don't know your dates but just looked at 21st Dec thru 1st Jan. London to MCO or Tampa from £316pp would expect that to be about half direct prices.
