flights from bdl

Hello fellow disboarders! anyone have any advice on air fare from orlando to BDL? We can get great airfare down in July but return is 168 one way per person. Is this good? Should we wait and see if it goes down? any advice welcome ( we got 100 down so that was no brainer). Thanks in advance!

Being a fellow nutmeg resident the prices out of BDL are always tough to swallow. We also love to fly Jet Blue but I would suggest you check into Boston, Providence, Westchester, JFK and Newark. I know if can be a couple hour drive but depending on your party size it could be worth it. The last two times we have flown out of JFK and saved over $500, even with $150 for parking.

Don't be shy about checking flights to TPA and renting a car. We found flights for $180 RT from JFK to TPA. BDL is usually a bit more expensive than flying from JFK, but you can probably still find good fares.

FWIW, $168 one way isn't a bad fair. It's probably a good fare, that would require you finding a special to beat it.

Also, check Southwest from BDL to MCO. We have used that combo as well.

i used to fly out of BDL all the time and got really great rates, but ever since Southwest started flying from NY they have the cheap flights and BDL prices have gotten outrageous.
I did find a great flight once out of RI so check there too, you might find something and the drive isn't that bad.

Where in CT are you? I am in Fairfield County and have taken advantage of the many airports nearby - even flying out of one and returning to another. That being said, I will pay more airfare to fly out of BDL due to the ease of getting to, getting around, and parking at BDL.
