I am planning on buying a tv mount for your 47" LG flat panel tv in our livingroom...some good prices for black friday...but I notice some say low profile tilt and some just say low profile:confused3 Do I need the tilt? They are more expensive but if that is what i then thats what I will get ;) thanks!!

It depends on where you will hang it, and where you will view it from. We have tilt on the one in our bedroom, but not the one in the workout room. It is a nice option to have, in case you need to angle the tv a bit.

In most situations you will not need a tilting feature, assuming you are mounting the tv at the correct height for optimal viewing. (ie: not what "looks" good on the wall while standing, but what is easy and comfortable to view while sitting)

Check Monoprice.com before buying anything...they generally have the best prices on pretty much anything including mounts. We just got one there for our 47" LG LED tv, lol. We got a super low profile one that did have tilt but don't need the tilt...and keep in mind, if you have large hands, it is a little tough to mount it because of how little it sticks out from the wall. ;) My husband had to have me help.

Our TV is over the fireplace and we don't have the tilt option on that one. Viewing is fine.
We have tilt on the boys tv upstairs and I hate it. After a few times of tilting it to get the right angle, the tv eventually droops down, even after tightening the screw as much as possible.
