Finaly got my wife to go with us on splash mountain, we then ran to see our splash down picture and there was a CM and soon as one of the monitors started to cycle he put up a thing to block the view. I had seen that it was me and ds in front row, my green shirt & his yellow. The CM stated that the supervisor had judge the picture inappropriate for viewing by the public. We were told the a girl had flashed so we were out of luck. :earseek:

My DD13 told me she has read about people doing this!! So I guess it's really true?!!! That's too bad, maybe you're DW will go again? I hope so, it's one of our favorite rides!! :cutie:

BTW I hear they are asked to leave the park as soon as ride returns to unload.

I am glad they ask them to leave:mad: This is WDW. People have no business doing silly junk like that.

I hope DW will ride again so you can get that picture::yes::

That happened one time when I was on ToT, some teen boys in the front row did something. A voice came on at the end of the ride saying there will be no picture available due to the behavior of those in the front row. They were giving front of the line passes by the monitors to anyone who wanted to re-ride to try for another picture.

There used to be some infamous website that had pics of girls flashing on Splash Mountain. Geez... I would ground DDs for LIFE! And I wonder if they ever caught the CM that took the pics?

I would think the camera automatically takes that picture every time that boat comes over that hill. I know we have learned when it's going to snap so we look right at it and wave:wave:The CM might not be able to stop it from taking until it's too late. At least IMHO. I've heard of this website also, lenshanem. Obviously they don't destroy these piccs.:teeth:

Lenshanem - Sorry, I just re-read your post. You probably meant did the find the CM that TOOK (as in stole) piccies!!! I thought you meant took as in took the photo. Or atleast that's what I think you meant - OK I'll shut up now!!!:crazy2:

That is so tacky! Not only do they ruin the photo for the other people on the ride but what about the bystanders including lots of kids who are on the bridge watching the boats drop? Those types should go to Mardi Gras instead of Disney if that's how they get their kicks. If we were standing there with our kids and saw that, trust me, I'd be waiting for them when they got off the ride with a CM in tow.

:guilty:

I went with my friends this past winter and we got everyone in a boat and we all picked our noses... i know childish but it was funny.

They said our picture was a wash i think... ha oops

It's still there!

I'm suprised that Disney doesn't do anything about such content.

3 years ago I was at WDW with my best friend and when we went to look at our picture we were told that it was unavailable because someone had "flashed" the camera as well! It was such a bummer!!! It's Disney World, what to people think???

If your picture is censored because of the irresponsible actions of someone else, just tell the CM working the photo station at any of the rides with a on-ride photo. I'm not certain if you'll get front of the line passes, or if you're escorted back to the front of the line - but they'll let you back on.

I'm not certain if you then have to buy the photo afterwards or not, so buyer beware! :)

My fiancée and I are planning on buying a few of those souvenir photos though, so I'm glad that's an option if someone decides to get stupid!

they call it a "wash". It happens more than you think. When we were in WDW last November, my son got to take his Cub Scout mascot. It was a stuffed teddy named "Cubby". I joked with his leader that Cubby will have so much fun and we were going to take him on Splash Mountain and have the picture to prove it...my son held him up over his head and everything. We went to get the picture, and NO PICTURE. Asked where it was and was told someone must of done something inappropriate, so they allowed my son and DH to go right back on the ride. While I was waiting for them at the picture preview area...the cm had "washed" 4 pictures!!!! Most of them were girls lifting their shirts, but there was one where someone had their middle fingers up.

If this happens to you, just mention you really would of liked a picture, and the cm will more than likely allow you to go right back on the ride without getting in line again.

It is sad to say most teenagers just don't think! (I know I did some pretty stupid stuff in my day! :p)
Think about those girls on those stupid Girls Gone Wild Videos. You can't erase that. I feel so sorry for them. You know they regret that impulse move! As a parent with two small girls my heart breaks for them. UGH! I can't believe some of those pictures are still on the net (Splash Mountain). Why hasn't Disney used their power to have them removed?

I think (I'm trying to remember from when my fiancée was studying copyright law in law school! :P ) that Disney has no recourse against these photos because there's nothing that has a Disney copyright, or trademark. If there was a character, logo, symbol, or something else that they legally owned the rights to, then Disney would be able to do something about it.

However, the only people that have any kind of legal recourse to have those photos removed are the people that are actually in the photo.

Furthermore, I'm not sure if there IS legal recourse because the site that posted them isn't making any money off of them.

I'm just bored at work. Ignore my thinking out loud!!! hehehe ::yes:: :wave2:

I agree 200% those people deserve to leave the park. And how do people get those pictures on the web site anyway?

We were at e-ride night on Wednesay (July 7th) and there were 2 pictures washed away. Of course one of them was ours. But I hadn't planned on buying one this trip anyway. The bad part was explaining to dd (age 12) why our picture wasn't shown. Her words were "that's disgusting".
