Flame Tree Barbeque Closing?

That;s great......if htey are open we may end up there at the same time!! We have a group of 10 and we are all looking forward to it!! Have a great vaca!

I'm so not happy about this! We went to the FTB for the first time in 2004 and I even dreamed about the ribs. In february of this year we went back and the ribs were as good as I remembered (and yeah, we don't have good ribs here in Europe, so there will be ones that are better somewhere)
We're going back sep 1- sep 19 and I was already dreaming about the ribs again.
For us there is no other CS in AK that we like and AK is our favorite park and we planned to spend a lot of time there. We will have to reconsider cause not eating is not really an option.

Does anyone know how the ribs at Cosmic Rays compares to those at Flame Tree?

I think they meant LGMHs -> lime green mickey heads. These are paint chips that are found at Home Depot. Diser's attach them to their backpacks/strollers to identify other Diser's in the parks.

The Animal Kingdom is our favorite park, and we spend the most time there. I'm disappointed that the Flame Tree will be closed while we are there, but it will force us to try something new. And for us, that's the Yak & Yeti. Anyone have some advice on the Y&Y?

Yuk & Yeti is one of the few places in WDW my family will not try again.

Yep! I have been reading that many people use these at Disney to identify other DIS'ers. I grabbed a few from Home Depot, laminated them, and will attach them to our bags.

My DS8 loves pizza.... It will be fine for him but what do they serve for adults. I am really going to miss Flame Tree

I love FTBBQ and was planning on it during our last trip, but we were closer to Pizzafari that day, and the kids were really cranky and MIL wanted A/C, so we tried Pizzafari.

Everyone enjoyed it--good salads and pizzas, and a nice cool break from touring!
