Flag Retreat - can he do it?

I was hoping to sign my Dad up for the MK flag retreat in Feb. He uses a cane and has limited mobility. Does anyone know what it entails? Could my son (the boyscout) assist if needed? What do we need to bring to prove his veteran status?

I have seen it and I don't think the mobility would be an issue. Really the veteran just walks out and then stands there and it is not a long walk. I would think Disney would work with you.
