I have been trying to contact my ex(my son's dad) in Plam Bay with no luck. I am wondering where exactly in Palm Bay the fires are burning. I tried web searches but none give specific street info. Any help appreciated. i am starting to get nervous!!

The fires were located near Tudor Road southwest, in the woods near Bayside High School, on Delray Street northeast and near Weslaco Street southeast.

I heard it was central Florida and part of Daytona was evacuated. That is where my ex is.

In Malabar, Brevard County:

About 2,500 acres has burned, and jumped U.S. Route 1. The fire is still not under control and is still threatening homes East of I-95 between ATZ road and Benjamin Road to the Indian River.

As of 2 p.m., brush fires were posing a threat to homes in the area of Rocky Point Road in Malabar. The fire has jumped U.S. 1 and continues to move east.

Other areas being threatened include Gradick Drive, Henderson Drive, Greenbrooke Street and areas between Valley Road and Valkeria Road.

I live in Port St Lucie and we can see and smell the smoke. I work for the Fire District. One of our firefighter's homes burned down yesterday.

LPGA Boulevard, Daytona Beach, Volusia County

The 800-acre brushfire in northwest Daytona Beach has been confined, and the Division of Forestry said about 55 percent has been contained. Firefighters said no homes have been damaged in Daytona Beach, and no injuries were reported.

Evacuations: All evacuations have been lifted. Around 500 people were evacuated in the Bayberry Lakes and LPGA International subdivisions. The city of Daytona Beach has resumed normal operations, and has discontinued staffing the Emergency Operations Center.

there are several different fires in many different areas.

I think Angelhalo covered the Palm Bay fires pretty well. I think the worst are near Bayside HS. I can not believe they waited so long to evacuate the schools yesterday. The fire was across the street from the HS and kids were all still wandering around.

It looks like the Malabar fires are the most concerning right now.

www.wesh.com has good coverage with maps.

Thanks all that posted. i think i have a better handle on it now. My ex is on Lantana Court NW.....don't think he's too close to anything....Thanks again!! I hope all of you near by stay safe and your homes are spared.....
