I received a mailer from Universal yesterday offering three coupons for:

1. a free 1 day 2-park ticket
2. $35 for a 1 day 2-park ticket for friends and family up to 6 tickets
3. an extra year tacked onto a 1-year annual pass up to 6 passes

These coupons can not be used for park entrance on special events and must be used by late December. It definitely is a very aggressive promotion and has me thinking about making a trip there. The weird thing is that I'm not sure how the mailing list is generated. Only one neighbor on my side of the street received one and he doesn't have kids and doesn't go to any of the parks.

Any other FL residents receive this?

I went to IoA about 6 years ago. Been to Universal a few times before but I don't think I ever gave them our personal info. It's probably some credit bureau mailing list, as there was a typo on the address that I see from time to time on the credit card junk mail.

I got one last time they did this promotion. I didn't know why I got one since I'm an AP holder but found out at the park they had my address wrong in the computer.

That won't work as you must show photo ID when you use the coupon. Your ID must match either the name or the address. If it doesn't match, you can't use it.

phamton is right, it does say ID must be shown that matches the name or address. Plus I would never sell anything that i never paid for. I guess if I bring friends and family, they don't have to be at the address as long as I am there at the time of purchase buying or getting my free ticket. They really don't explain that very well as the disclosure on the friends and family coupon also states the same name or address language. I may try it out for a day and see if it is worth it to buy the AP's. We are PAP holders for WDW and Fun Pass holders for SW. Why the heck not right?

You can purchase up to 6 tickets for friends and family but you must be the one to be there with photo id when the purchase is made.

Yes I received it too. I think it has to be from when I went two years ago and they had my info. It looks like a great deal. So we are going late September.
