Fixed Weeks are attached to the deed, correct?

So- we received our closing documents for our VGF Fixed Week purchase and I am a bit concerned. Nowhere on the paperwork does it say Fixed Week anywhere, just the number of points and the UY. Now, this is of course not the official deed yet, but I would think that perhaps this would be included somewhere, no?

I looked up the deed on the Comptroller website and it does have the Fixed Week clause written in. I'm just wondering before I send all this off whether anything might change if it's not referenced in the closing documents? Logically, I would think no, but it's a lot of money not to be certain.

I haven't heard back from the broker or title agent yet, which is why I am turning to the Dis for help !

If you're looking at closing documents, then that should be the official deed. I wouldn't sign anything until it was specifically called out.

Should be part of the deed, and that should be part of the closing documents.

Fixed weeks are so rare, somebody probably just messed it up. Lack of familiarity. I wouldn't be too worried at this point, but I would get it fixed before you sign.

Thank you both so much! I won't sign until I get clarification on this from the closing agent.

Thanks for letting us know to watch out for this when we are purchasing a fixed week. And Congratulations and Welcome Home, too - just a little bit early. :)

Thanks Carol! Hope your move went well :)! We are super excited about this one for sure.

Apparently the closing agent hadn't processed a Fixed Week contract before, so she didn't put the documents together correctly as a result.

This is why I love the DIS- such speedy, helpful answers and way more knowledgable than the people who work in the industry ;)! And yes, I certainly hope that this might help someone else down the line to know what to look for on the closing documents if and when more FW come on the market.
