Is Jiminy Cricket always there? He's my niece's favorite character and I would love for her to be able to meet him!

I think he is these days.
That's one of the main reasons we headed over there but I'd check with a CM before you take the trek.

Awww, poor X missing out on the fun.

I love all the pictures with Jiminy. He's so cute

Jiminy is done very well - and he had a great personality interacting with sleeping X!

Maybe it's just me but I can't view your photos anymore, says you are too popular with photobucket - lol!!!!!!

Apparently we've overrun my bandwidth for the month on photobucket.
Pictures should return next week which gives me a good excuse to go on hiatus.
An even better excuse is that J, X, and I are headed to Marathon Weekend tomorrow!!!
These AP's are burning a hole in our back pockets so we decided to cash 'em in one more time before our year is out.
Mom had taken DD earlier in the year to Flower & Garden for Mother's Day.
I took DS9 this summer to Star Wars Weekends (TR to come).
And the whole family descended on Orlando in November (TR also to come).
Now it is X's weekend extravaganza!

He will be running the 200K Kids Race on Friday.
J will be running the Goofy Challenge - a 1/2 marathon on Saturday and then the full marathon on Sunday.
So wish them luck and I'll get back to the pictures and the TR as soon as we get back!

Actually, make that 200m for X, not 200k.

Watching him in his race was fun (even if it was chaotically organized), and running the Goofy was loads of fun. Lots of pics to post just from that alone, regardless the rest of the trip.

We certainly did. Though, to tease a picture that won't be posted for quite a while , Mike didn't want to leave our last lunch, he was savoring it so much.

We had a blast and I'm dying to tell you all about but I'm really far behind.
So let's get back to Day Three at Animal Kingdom and finish it off!

We arrived back in Harambe, Africa just in time for the Jammin’ Jungle Parade to conclude.
Sure enough, we looked up and there was Mickey waving at us!

The crowd dispersed after the parade and we headed back to Discovery Island as well.
Animal Kingdom would be closing soon and we had still had some stops to make.
First we headed right for the center of the park – it was time to explore the Tree of Life itself!

On the way, we found a Kids Discovery Club station that was already closed.

And then it was on to the wonderful sculptures on the tree itself as we winded through the queue for It’s Tough to Be a Bug!
How many animals can you find?

Oh look!
There’s Jane Goodall with her chimp!

And some really creepy bugs I can’t seem to indentify!

The show was fun, as usual, and X wasn’t as startled as he usually gets.
I think he’s finally getting the fun of it.
However, the kids are too small to have their feet “attacked” by the bugs on the floor and they’ve learned to lean forward so they don’t get poked.
Party poopers.

On the way out, you pass this picturesque waterfall…

And then we headed to our last stop for the day.
There were some folks we had to meet.
Any guesses?

After seeing all of your pictures of the Conservation Station, I wish we had gone there the other day. (We were at AK on Tuesday.) But we decided to cut AK short and head to Epcot instead. Oh, well, there's always next time! Thanks for sharing your photos!

There's alot of detail to enjoy but not much to actually do other than meet the characters.
It was fun to take the kids over there once but I doubt it will become a "must do."

We headed around Discovery Island towards Dinoland.
And right before the entrance is a small path that leads down the hill to the right.
That secret passage was our goal.
And, just in time – the CM said it was about the close.
So we rushed down the winding path and arrived at what used to be the Discovery River Boat Docks.
However, now standing on the docks were some good ol’ friends.
And one was even waving to us and we ran down the hill!

First up was Winnie the Pooh!
X ran over to him and almost tackled the stuffed bear!

The other kids waited their turn and then joined in!

And I mean ALL the other kids…

The manic depressive donkey was next to greet us.
Oh well – I guess I'll give him a hug…

Next it was time to bounce!
Come bounce with us!
(And I love the fact that the Photopass guy got some pics of X bouncing over to the T-i-double g-r!)

But, before we could leave, we needed a Capell family picture with the lovable Pooh Bear!
