Firsts, Fourths, and Farewells (4/28 Back to the Future!)

For dessert, I had to go with my favorite – the chocolate mousse.

DS went with ice cream but I gave him some moose parts for decoration.

X also had ice cream but his was a little more special as he was the birthday boy.

Of course, X had to figure out if the words were edible chocolate or not.
So he dove in head first!

Yup, they were edible.
DD put everything plus the kitchen sink on her ice cream.
I think she spent more time decorating it then eating it.

Mom had the maple crème broulee.

J went with the chocolate cake.

Finally it was time for our obligatory Canadian pictures!

To our dismay, lunch was finally at an end.
So we headed back into the World Showcase and said good-bye to our favorite dining location with some farewell pictures.

We headed down the path to top off our Canadian Adventure.

And our resident Canadian must take some majestic pictures.

Then we headed into O Canada for the show.
I liked the new Martin Short version.
And the kids get a kick out of his jokes.
So it’s fun all around.

There’s actually a cool view in the waiting area.
So we explored a bit as we waited for the next show.

After the show, we headed upstairs to wander a bit.
We never often go into this part of the pavilion so it was a fun adventure.

Mom was our model for this pavilion as we continued our “Hats Around the World” concept.
We wanted a toque but we went for the fun ear flaps instead.

Then Mom and J went looking for some fun new angles to capture the Great White North.

Canada, as always, was fun.
Next stop - time to cross the pond!

All I can say is I am actually glad I can't see your pictures now because your meal sounds fabulous and I would definitely be drooling. It's been awhile since I have eaten at Le Cellier, so I think I am due for a return visit.

I actually really like the Canada movie (heck - I like all the movies) and everytime I see it I really want to go there to visit.

BTW - Miss Caitlin eloped this weekend in Disney world. How cool is that? Saw it on FB.

Lunch looks delish! I am glad I waited until after dinner to look at your food pics. I would like to try those crab cakes. They look so yummy. Oh - and that chocolate cake - I could seriously go for a piece of that right now.

I have to admit, I am feeling a little bad now for spilling the beans about Caitlin. I am just so happy for her and I thought you would want to know. FB can be a double edged sword sometimes and I probably should have kept my big mouth zipped.

They definitely were both quite good. (Though the cake is larger than needed.) Alas, now that they're up to 2 credits even for lunch, with the basic meal plan I'll be on during my trip there in January for the Goofy Challenge, I'll be going south of the border rather than north.

I hear ya on that! I usually have TIW so its doable. It's a shame they couldn't keep the 1TS credit for lunch.

Thanks. Technically, it's a race and a half , since the full title is the Goofy Race and a Half Challenge. (Half-marathon on Saturday, full marathon on Sunday, creaky knees and hips for a while afterwards )

Le Cellier is still our family's favorite restaurant in WDW.
It's a must-do every trip.
The trick will be figuring out a way to handle the 2 TS credit from now on.

Hey gang!
Sorry I've been offline most of this month.
With school, scouts, sports, and work, life has been really hectic.
And then there's the little tidbit about us heading to California for our first ever visit to Disneyland next week!!

We are very excited but very busy getting ready for both that and our princess' birthday this weekend.
But I promise to get back to the report upon our return from the West Coast (and I may try to slip a post or two in before we leave).

Hey everyone!
Sorry for the long hiatus but we're back!
And boy are we behind!
So let's get right to it!!

Sorry for the long delay everyone we ventured to the West Coast to see how it all started.
Very, very different but thats another story.
In this one we were finishing up at our favorite restaurant at the World (and even at the Land).

So we headed back into the World Showcase and across the Pond to merry old United Kingdom.

And on to have some fun.
DS checked out the phone booths but when DD went in, I called from my cell phone and really freaked her out.
J took pics since I was hiding a little ways away.

We tried the same trick with X but it didnt work as good since he couldnt reach the phone.
Mom took pics this time.

Then we headed into the Toy Solider.
We had some friends to meet of course!

Then it was across the English Channel and to the City of Lights!

Mom went off to get some snacks at La Patisserie.
I believe she had her heart set on a chocolate croissant.
X settled for a chocolate chunk cookie.

While Mom and X ate, we wandered the streets of Paris.
Inside one of the shops, the kids even found a game.
We had to search for Remy!

This was the easy and obvious answer.
But not correct.

It took all of our “Where’s Waldo” skills but we finally located him.
I’ll give it away since apparently they move him around all the time.
Take a look – can you see him?

Then we headed over to Kidcot to let the kids color some Duffys.
Our princess was in a photographic mood so we added to our Hats Around the World collection.

Back outside, the aristocrats were fraternizing with the Aristocats.
Here’s a meeting you don’t often see…

Our princess followed the French princess and off we went to talk princess talk and compare skirts and, well, you know – princess stuff!
I must admin, though, this was one of the better Aurora’s I’ve seen.

Then we headed over to meet the cat.
Marie was purring over by the kiosk.

Finally, it was time to meet the Beast!
This guy is always so HUGE!

Quick!

I couldn’t resist.
And with a quick "Au Revoir" we headed back into the Showcase.
