Hello,

Can anybody provide me with some insight on how the weather is during the first week of March and how crowed the parks tend to be?

Thank you!

It can vary. I've gone at the beginning of March a couple of times. One time it was in the 80's, the second time it was only in the 50's the day I arrived and only up into the 70's by the end of the week.

In 2013, I arrived on a Sunday, it was very crowded at MK but less crowds during the week.

 I know 7 days can make a big difference, but I did go the SECOND week of March. Everything was pleasant..we beat the Spring Break crowds and weather was warming up but not overly toasty. It would be a safe move to still pack a sweater and at least 1 pair of pants rather than all summer wardrobe. I've been in March only once so the weather could very well be more "all over the map" and I would not know.

The first week of March typically has moderate crowds -- very manageable. Spring Break starts the second week of March, so things will get busier by Sunday the 6th.

As others have said, weather is very changeable. Our trip the first/second week of March last year had some very warm days in the upper 80's, and evenings are often cool. It's usually a great time of year to go, weather-wise. Just make sure you pack for warmer and cooler temps.

Last week of February, first week of March 2010 were unseasonably cold. We had a couple of mornings that started in the upper 30s and the highs were only in the high 50s - low 60s most days. Only two days did we get to 70.

Last week of February, first week of March 2013 was lows in the 60s, highs in the 80s

We went once in mid-March and it was in the 90s. It can vary quite a bit but is probably going to be warmer than going in January/February.

It was very hot the March just gone. Crowds were very manageable the first two weeks. Nice long hours because of spring break too!

That is the time my wife and I usually go and the temps can vary as everyone else has stated. Last year the first day there it was 72, but for a boy from Michigan and having left Detroit with the temperature of 6 below, 72 felt great. It rained only one day and the temps by the third day were in the mid 80's and stayed that way the rest of the stay. Crowds are really never as low as they were ten years ago but they are low enough that we never have to wait long for a ride-unless you like the exciting rides, which we don't. I am already planning next years 2/24 - 3/2 trip. Good luck.
