First WDW Trip with Kids Nov/Dec 2014 - Help!

My wife and I have been to Disneyworld and Disneyland numerous times through the years, though this is the first time we will be going to Disney World with kids; our 2 and 3 year old for 8 days/7 nights at the Fort Wilderness Cabins (their respective ages at the time of the trip). Some questions for those with experience with younger children at WDW:

1) Diapers - Ideally, we'd not like to have to pay for traveling with a suitcase that would mainly contain diapers. Has anyone ordered them online (e.g. Amazon, etc.) and had them shipped to their resort? We will not have a car, so going to a local store would require a taxi. Any other suggestions?

2) Milk - Just curious, anyone know what type of milk Disney serves at their restaurants? Our kids typically drink organic 1% or 2%.

3) Car Seats and Airport Transportation - We are from Northern Illinois and will need to hire a limo or similar type of transportation to get two adults and our two children from home to the airport. One of our kids won't use a car seat on the plane (we'll use a HUGS unit) and ideally would prefer not to have to bring a car seat just for trips to and from ORD. Do limo companies typically have car seats? Any additional suggestions?

Most car services will install car seats ahead of picking you up if you tell them when they secure your reservation.

I haven't seen organic milk on property but garden grocer or similar service could purchase that for you they deliver right to you at the resort for a nominal fee. You can order diapers from them, tho they'd come at the escalated grocery store rate but I'd order online and ship directly to FW. We've find this multiple times just make sure the delivery is in the 48 hour window prior to our arrival. No need to chance it laying around long enough to get lost. It's worked wonderfully. We pack enough diapers in the baby bag and carryon to cover 24 hours just in case there's a snag. Delay on lay over or late check in at the resort.

HUGS is a child restraint system which is FAA approved that is portable and much easier than bringing a car seat. I suppose the best way to describe it is that it is a cross between a seat belt and a shoulder harness. It easily fits in a small bag or carry on luggage. Note that this system is only for the plane and is not for motor vehicle use.

If you visit the traveling with children section of your selected airline's website, they will give you additional information regarding this system and other approved options.

If you are staying on property, why not use Disney's FREE Magical Express bus transportation to/from the airport? I've taken my boys (including as infant/toddlers) using the ME bus. And I love our HUGS, too! In the nine trips with kids where we've flown, I've never brought along a car seat or booster. But I swear by the HUGS, Maclaren Volo stroller (LOVE that thing) and when had infant, the various baby pouches.

Not sure you'll find the organic milk everywhere (we have that at home, too, but I relax the "rules" a bit on vacation).

And I've just packed parts of each suitcase with diapers/pull-ups. It makes packing to come home easier because I have plenty of room!

Have a no worries vacation. Garden Grocers is great for deliveries, but not sure about the organic milk. You might have to be open to more options on vacation. Also, order other items based on kids ages from GG. You can bring food & drinks into the parks. Also, order diapers through Amazon or Wal-Mart & ship to hotel. If it arrives early, hotel will hold. Include your name, reservation #, hotel name, & check-in date when you provide shipping address. Also, for your kids ages I highly recommend bringing a stroller (we did, best decision ever), no cost to bring on airline. Jump over to DISigns thread & have stroller tag created. Strollers @ parks not comfortable from what I hear. Last, save money on car service. DME will be fine for your kids & they will enjoy it, you too!

So, it sounds like you are using a car service from your home to your airport nearby? Yes, most services will have a car seat if you ask ahead of time. Also, taxis don't usually need them. I didn't bother if I didn't need to!

It may work out to order from Garden Grocer or We Go Shop for any essentials for your trip. It may work out that just for the trip, though, you just use whatever milk is available at Disney. You can also ship down a box to yourself ahead of time with diapers and other things you may need (wipes, snacks, etc...). I've done that before with snacks and things to just save time! That way you know what type and size you will have.

Matter of fact, we've shipped some things down and just taken carry on luggage (but with such young kids, that may not work out for this trip for you).

One bit of advice: bring a double stroller! We did our first trip when our kids were 2 and 4, and it was so great to have - they could both recline (it was a tandem) and every afternoon they fell asleep in it, so we didn't bother to go back to the resort for naps usually (unless we needed some down time!).
