First WDW trip Dec 2nd-9th, does this plan work?

I was thinking the same question. There is a guest relations window just outside of MK.

Being from Seattle, getting up at 6am WDW time is 3am our time!

I have the military discount tickets. I thought you had to activate those at TTC. If I can activate them later that would be great! I know that 6am FL time is 3am our time, but the whole family has adjusted, this morning we were up at 3:45am. Been going in 15 min incriments for a few weeks now! Of course kids are in bed by 630pm and us by 10pm. Hubby is on vacation, I'm a SAHM and my boys aren't in school yet. I wouldn't be crazy and try this otherwise

Just curious...why do you think you have to go to Ticket/Transportation Center to activate your tickets?

My "guess" is they are Salute to the Military tickets which can only be activated at TTC or Shades of Green.

I was typing while you were you posting!You are correct that the Military tickets have to be processed at TTC or Shades of Green(TTC will be easier).

Disney's website says that you can activate the free military ticket and the companion tickets at any guest services or theme park ticket window. Are these different than what OP has?

OP,I think I was gave you some incorrect information about your tickets.I think Mndisneygirl has the correct info.

Sorry for the error!It must just be a common "misconception" that military tickets have to be handled at TTC or SoG(or maybe that was true in the past).

I think an hour should be enough time if you don't have to wait over about 10 minutes at the All-Star Movies Bus stop.On the other hand they will "most likely" do an opening show in front of the Train Station(Magic Kingdom Welcome) at 7:48 to open the Park and you don't want to miss that.You may want to consider getting to the Bus Stop at 6:45 to be safe.

When you get to Magic Kingdom,the Guest Services windows are forward and to the right after you go through the Bag Check.

Magic Kingdom Welcome is performed on the Train Station "platform" and includes Singers and Dancers,a Main Street "resident"(Mayor,Fire Chief,etc.) and a Family of the Day.MANY Characters ride on the Train over from Toontown for the show.You can take pictures of them up on the platform during the show.I don't "think" these Characters hang around after the show,but there "should" be Characters appearing in Town Square(which is just after you walk through the Train Station tunnel) soon after opening.

There is a possibility that the Magic Kindom Welcome could be a much shortened version-they sometimes do that on EMH Mornings-but recently they have been doing the full show on EMH Mornings.
