Hey:hippie:

I'm looking for suggestions for a "First-Timers Care Package" that won't break the bank.

My dear friend from work has offered to accompany me on a trip in October with my 2 young girls while DH is out west hunting. Although my friend is only paying for her airfare, I still want to get her a little something for the trip.

So far, I have the following...
1) POTC T-Shirt (got it for $4 at the Disney Store)
2) Refillable Mug (from our last trip...but it's just until I can buy her a new one)
3) Unofficial Guide (Everyone needs that!:worship: )
4) Trading Pin

The box is a little empty yet. I want to put Disney-"exclusive" items in it. I don't want stuff like sunscreen, chapstick or stuff that isn't exclusively for the vacation. I want to give the box to her when I giver her her park ticket and MNSSHP ticket.

Any other ideas? I don't want to go overboard, but she hasn't been to WDW since the early '80's so I consider this her "first time". We're staying at AKLV so I know she'll be hooked.

order the free custumized maps on wdw website. They are a much better quality than in the parks and would make a nice keepsake. Suprise her with a special dessert if you are eating on property.

Disney Dollars (even a small amount like $5 is nice, just because they are so cute!), A Disney themed hat to protect the nose from Rudolph-syndrome, maybe a cute little Disney mini-backpack or tote, or at least a Disney wallet if you'll share a bag (these are at Wal Mart).

Thats a wonderful idea! Last year for my birthday a friend gave me a 'vacation' beach tote bag that had lots of goodies in it (more towards the practical side like small sun screen, sunglass holders, beach towel, small fan, etc. The one item I ended up appreciating the most was a package of 2 throw away ponchos from the dollar store. I know they sell ponchos with mickey on the back at the Disney Store at DTD - if you can find one it will come in handy.
