Is the first two weeks in October a good time to go to Wdw. Is there anything to avoid, how are the crowds, will the Halloween parties be on?
Thanks for any help
That's the time of year we normally go.
Crowd wise the first week tends to be lower than the second week as the UK and some U.S. Schools have holidays at that time. But it's not unmanageable.
The Halloween parties are in the evening on select days so you may find that MK is quieter during the day of those events as people won't want to waste a park hopper ticket on a 1/2 day,
Food and wine is on at EPCOT and that does increase the crowds at weekends. We have never had a problem with the crowds and find it to be a lot of fun and enjoy spending time sampling the different food and drinks.
Weather wise it's always been really good of the several trips we have done it's only been one or two days of rain and one cool morning.
Never been that early just know touring plans has a spike in crowds but just for the weekend itself. Nothing to worry too much about - i'd just plan a non park day. Shopping sounds good!
Just had a check Touring plans has week before Columbus day as 3 or 4/10 busy = very nice Weekend is 7/10 - not too bad Then week after 4 or 5 out of 10 = very nice (we arrive Wednesday this week )
