We will be staying at the Fairfield Inn in Anaheim and will be there for 6 days. We plan to visit DL for at least 4 but would like to hit a beach, maybe go to Catalina Island, and have considered a day at Universal Hollywood Studios.
However, I was just reading about the poor water quality at Avalon Beach and am wondering if we should re-think the Catalina Island trip?
IS Newport Beach a good choice?
Is Universal Studios a good choice? We were thinking of the front of the line tickets which are $160 a person which seems extravagant to me. Are there better tours or someplace else that would be better to do while there? I have been to Universal in Orlando and choose to spend my time at WDW instead.
I thought I saw something somewhere about tours of a real Hollywood set, I think that would be very cool, not too much interested is seeing stars homes....
I want to get to take in something we can only do in CA but am not sure which way to go?
