No creepy-crawlies whatsoever. Realistically...it is Florida and certain "critters" do make there home there so I wouldn't go wandering off in the brush or anything. But the only wildlife I encountered were the small gecko lizards you see throughout the tropics. Personally I enjoy them. I flew into West Palm which is slightly closer than Orlando and less busy but it's not significant. Melbourne is the closest but has limited flights. Especially direct. There is a Publix on Route 1 for groceries. Maybe 20 minutes away. You may want to find Publix on the net, see if they have a store locator, then go to Mapquest, etc.etc. Or wait until you've checked in and get directions from a CM. I'm very confident you'll have a wonderful trip.
