Just got back from our first trip home. Overall impressions are WOW!! We had a great time, we stayed in a BCV 2 bedroom. I looked very critically for anything to complain about. I have been studying this website for the past 6 months. Below is a list of the best and most overrated items:

Best:
BCV Beach – Great sand a wonderful beach with a Southern exposure. I think next to Poly and GF, it is the best beach. We had so much fun there with our kids.
Location:
Great for walking into Epcot. You can easily eat in any country in minutes or Illuminations. My favorite restaurant was ESPN. Great food, reasonable prices and great atmosphere.
Valet:
Those guys were the best. They really made me feel special. Just saving a few steps at times it like heaven. It is like royalty.
SAB:
The best pool I have ever seen. The sand bottom felt great on the feet. Weather was not perfect but the pool was nicely heated.
The Rooms:
Very special, spacious, beautiful in every way (room 542, 2BR). The layout is outstanding. The MS made us feel very welcome. They had a free gingerbread house decorating event that was super. I love DVC!!
Extras:
The free workout room, free movies, discounts were all great.

Minor Disappointments:
Beaches and Cream:
The food was good but it seemed too busy almost all of the time. I did not really like the atmosphere of being next to an arcade either. Even the carryout was much slower than the ESPN restaurant.
Illuminations:
We requested a room that gave us a chance to watch the fireworks. The room, 542, was great but it just did not give illuminations justice without the music.
Parents:
We went with my parents who are both in there 60s and they could just not keep up. Even when we tried to do slow events, they were sick the majority of the time. I think they missed the magic.
Misc:
For some reason, it seems like the elevator floor looks either unfinished or dirty. Not sure why. Cape May was way too crowded everyday to eat.

Overall, it was great in every way. We are going back in March in a 1 BR at the Boardwalk. Thanks to all for your help in planning a successful trip. Will I be disappointed?

Glad you had fun. BCV sure has its charms. You literally can't beat that pool when you have children. It's nice to hear a positive report from the Beach Club!

I love the Beach Club Villas too. Glad you had a great stay.

Agree about Beaches and Cream although I will say that my DS2 and I had an early dinner in there in November and there was only one other table occupied. Still I do wish there were other options....more varied menu and without the noise from the games. And most of the time the place is packed!

I agree with you on Cape May. We have had PS's on our last two trips and the wait (even with a PS) was way too long. All three times (we also had a breakfast PS) we opted to eat elsewhere... I mentioned my irritation to the CM at the Cape May podium and she told me she didn't understand why they always book so many PS's for Cape May..she was getting tired of dealing with disgruntled customers!!!

No big deal as there are lots of other restaurants to choose from (part of what I like about BCV and BWV)...has this been an issue for anyone else??

Sounds like you had a good time - I enjoyed BCV when we stayed there - I loved being able to walk into Epcot at night.

When exactly did you stay? We were in room 548, 11/29-12/05. I agree about Illuminations. You can see all the fireworks but you have to stand at the edge of the balcony to do so; and the music is a very important part of it. On the other hand the view of SSE is the best!

Did you find the secret exit to Epcot? Just go down to the end of the hall and down the stairs!

I'm glad you enjoyed valet parking; it leaves more room in the self-parking area! I guess I just don't see the point in valet parking at BCV. The self-parking lot is closer, and we can just get in the car and drive instead of having to wait (and tip).

Glad you had a great time! BCV is a beautiful resort ::yes::

Do you mean will you be disappointed in BWV in March? I don't think so. I own at both BCV and BWV and my favorite is BWV. It just has a little more magic for me. I think you will have another wonderful trip. (maybe even better because you will be minus the parents :hyper: )

Thanks for sharing!

I'm glad you enjoyed the BCV too and had a great trip. I stayed there in August in a 2 bedroomed villa and can't wait to go back. We had a room with a full length balcony overlooking the pool which was great. I agree that it is a great location and being able to walk into Epcot on an evening is excellent.
