Hi Everyone! A bit about us....I've been reading the boards for a couple of years, but just joined since we're actually leaving on our first trip to Universal on Monday! Well, actually its the first trip for my 13 yo DS and I, but the 4th time for my 17 yo DD. She's been 3 times for school trips, including their Grad Bash this past April. My DS and I are deprived...lol

I've checked the Universal website, but I'm having trouble figuring out which rides are 'bad one'. I'm a wimp when it comes to rides...lol I do NOT do anything that goes upside down, like Rockin Roller Coaster at Disney. I truly hated that ride. I prayed for death on that ride..lol Seriously. Which rides at Universal fling you upside down? Of course my darling DD tells me that none of them are scary (yeah...right). She just wants to see Mom pass out from fright, or watch my hair turn instantly white. Any help with the rides will be MUCH appreciated. Also, are there any lockers to store handbags in? I've read that you get soaked on the water rides.

You won't want to do Dueling Dragons or Hulk at IOA, both go upside down. Other than that I think that everything else you would be okay with. Do you like drops? I'm not a big fan of the large boat rides, so I stay away from Jurassic. :yay:

OK...mark those off the list..lol Drops don't really bother me too much, its just the upside down part. Does Jurassic have a lot of drops? It it a skin soaker? If it is...that will be one of my DS's favs.

JPRA has a tiny hill when you first start but then nothing until the BIG one! You could get soaked but it depends on where you're sitting and the weight of the vehicle so it's hard to say for sure. I've ridden it and was soaked but then other times I just had a sprinkle. I'm sure he'll like it though. :thumbsup2

you got that right :worship:

I must be rly lucky... I have never been soaked on JP. Plus with the insane FL weather I am usually dry by the time I make it through the maze line back onto the ride!

If upside down is your only problem then it is only Hulk and DD. But I would say if it doesnt physically make you sick atleast try out Hulk...Ya never know its definitely a different experience then RNR even though they both go upside down.

There are lockers that are free while you wait in line. The big soak rides are Dudley and Popeyes river rapid type ride. You can also rent them by the hour if you rather just leave your things in locker w/o having to switch.

Thanks for all the info! I really appreciate it. All the information I've gleaned from reading the faqs and threads will certainly make our trip a LOT more enjoyable.

I love love love Rockin Rollercoaster, and hate the Hulk. The Hulk make me get sick and lightheaded. I agree with the previous poster who stated that the Hulk is a different experience, it is horrible.
