First Timers Took On The World! Updated 3/28 -- Now Complete!

We then caught a bus back to the Caribbean Beach, with about a 10 minute wait. By this time, we were loving the bus system. No worries about parking or traffic...
102408155.jpg

Me and mom stayed in the room while DH and DD went to the main pool. We were pooped, but the kid wanted to swim. She fell in love with the smaller of the two water slides at the main pool. After a while, Mom and I caught the internal shuttle to Old Port Royale (no bus wait – it was there as we walked up).

About our room location. When I first got our location, I was a bit disappointed. They couldn't have put us further away from the main pool and food court unless were were on the far side of Trinidad South. But as the days went on, I loved our location. The walk to the food court/main pool was not THAT long (we had to walk past our village of Barbados and Martinique), and we were VERY close to the bus stop. It was right across the parking lot, almost straight from our door. The quiet pool was close, but not close enough to be a noise nuisance.

When we got to Old Port Royale, I got some money out of the ATM and went to the gift shop to pick up our picture from Dinosaur. We went out to the pool to gather up DH and DD. We had supper at Old Port Royale. Mom, DH and I had the turkey dinners, and DD had a hot dog and fries. She also wanted a mango smoothie, but only drank a little bit of it. Our turkey dinners were good, again. The meat was moist and tasty. I like Disney's smashed potatoes. Can't call them "mashed" because to me, mashed potatoes have no skins or lumps. These are "smashed". I like 'em that way. I do have to say, I despise Disney's hot dog buns. They do NOT stay together. DD ended up eating her hot dog with a fork, dipping it in her mustard. We also used our refillable mugs. Total for supper here was $39.46.

Mom and I caught the shuttle back to the room, while DH and DD walked. DD is just full of energy all the time, and DH said he was feeling energetic also, from just not being at work. Me and Mom were still tired! They just beat us back to the room. We got ready and caught the bus for Epcot.

We got a little lost here. Epcot is laid out really weird - with quite a few dead ends and circles, and not marked or lit very well after dark. This wasn't my best plan. We should have hit Epcot during the day for the first time. We rode the Nemo ride with no wait at all. Then we went on Living With the Land, with no wait. DH sat out on these, and just people-watched while waiting for us.
102408160.jpg

We walked over to the lake and found a spot to watch the fireworks. It was Crowded, of course. I got us drinks (2 cokes, 2 frozen lemonades and another bucket of Popcorn). Total cost was $15.65.

The fireworks were good, but would have been better if we could have seen the globe. There were people in front of us – tall people – who didn’t think to kneel or sit so others behind them could see. The whole group of them were, ahh... slightly over-served. Not mean or rude or anything, just obviously inebriated. DD got something in her eye (a bit of falling fireworks or some such), but it came out quickly. We enjoyed the show anyway.

After the fireworks, we made our way back to the Land. We waited for Soarin in the standby line. The wait time was listed as 50 minutes, but we only waited just over a half-hour. Soarin was WONDERFUL!!!!! This is another ride that DH sat out on. DD, me and Mom just loved this though. We had a second-row view, in the middle section. I think this is the best view, actually, even with the feets in your view.

We made our way back to the buses, after getting turned around once or twice. We waited about five minutes for a bus, but it was packed – standing room only by the time it was loaded.

We came back to the room and crashed! We were pooped. Even after getting lost in Epcot, we had a lot of fun today.

We slept in a little bit today, after such a full day yesterday. We got up right around 9:00 am. The Mousekeeper knocked on the door just after nine, but said she’d come back around eleven. We got up and around, and left for Hollywood Studios right around 11:00. Our wait for a bus was only about five minutes.
2981573191_daeb39b3e1.jpg

The bus to Hollywood Studios was PACKED.

Our first ride at Hollywood Studios was the Tower of Terror. We only waited about 15 minutes in the standby line. It was GREAT! This was one ride that DD said she wanted to do, but I wasn't sure she would. She was a little nervous in the line, but ended up going on. DH sat this one out. DD ended up liking it so much, we grabbed fast passes as we got off.
2982436754_1bf0ddc214.jpg

Then we went to wait for Rock’n’ Roller Coaster. The posted standby time was one hour. The total time we were there was just about an hour, including ride time and gift shop time. This was SO worth the wait! I only wish it was a longer ride. I didn’t get the photo, because it went by too fast on the screen, and I didn’t get a chance to check it out. Again, DH sat and did some people-watching.
(that's DH in the middle of the picture, sitting on the ledge)

Picture005225.jpg

After the coaster, we went back to Tower of Terror. Again, it was great. With our fast passes, we only waited about five minutes. The posted standby now was 50 minutes. We bought the picture this time, for $23.38 for two 5 x 7's.
IMG_3212.jpg

After our rides, we headed to the 50’s Prime Time Café. We stopped at a gift shop and bought DD a Pluto hat. I had almost bought this hat last night at the Old Port Royale gift shop, but thought DD wouldn't really wear it. Turns out, she loves this hat! Cost was $21.30.

We had ADRs for 1:10, but got there at 1:30. We got a little bit lost trying to find the restaurant. We passed right by the street we should have went down... We still only waited five minutes before we were seated. DH had chicken pot pie, I had the fried chicken, Mom had a stacked turkey sandwich and DD had chicken noodle soup and mac & cheese. DH had dessert, too – a brownie sundae. Yummy. Our server was a blast - very in character for the restaurant. The place was very busy, too. We didn't feel rushed, though. It was a nice, relaxing, TASTY meal. Total cost here was $67.16 plus tip.

After our yummy lunch, we left Hollywood Studios. Being a beautiful Saturday, the place was busy. We thought some pool time was in order, anyway. We waited about 10 minutes for our bus.

We got dressed for swimming and went to the main pool for a while. It was fairly busy, but not too bad. DD went down the smaller of the two slides at the main pool a few times and we all swam around. It started getting a bit too busy and crowded, so we headed back to the room. After a few minutes, we decided to go to the quiet pool. This water was heated nicely! Mom and DD stayed in the quiet pool while DH and I went back to the room. We got dressed and grabbed our mugs. We decided to lay low and just veg for the evening, so we walked to Old Port Royale to get a pizza for supper. I also picked up a cup of fruit and 2 worms in dirt. Total cost was $24.35. My photo from Splash Mountain was ready to pick up, also.

Mom and DD were out of the pool and playing in the sand on the beach as we came back through. We all went to the room and had supper. DH fell asleep watching TV. DD and I went to get some ice and maybe a bottle of soda. Decided against the soda. It was $2.50 for one 20 ounce bottle! Double-ouch!! DD and I decided we still wanted some soda, so we went to catch the internal shuttle bus to Old Port Royale. We were going to catch the bus back, but DD had already emptied her mug by the time we reached the main doors. We went back in and filled it again, and decided to walk back. Sometime there, we had missed DH calling DD’s cell phone. He had woken up and wanted iced tea instead of Coke. Ah, well. He was able to deal with Coke.

DD played Sims2 on my laptop for a while, and we watched TV and dozed. We had DD turn off the computer around 11, and we all went to sleep. We knew we had a big day coming up.

Today was a big, long day! Mom and I woke up around 6:30 and got our showers. We finally got DH and DD up and around for the morning. We made it to the bus stop at about 8:15.

We had breakfast ADRs this morning at 9:00 at O’hana. We waited about 10 minutes for a bus. When we got to Magic Kingdom, we couldn’t find a bus to the Poly, which we know we have seen before. We went and waited for the boat. We waited until 9:10 for the boat! (about 25 minutes). The captain told us that they had been having mechanical problems, which is why there was such a wait. We were the only ones on the boat, so we went straight to the Poly instead of stopping at the Grand Floridian.

We made our way to the Ceremonial House, but got a little lost trying to find Ohana. One thing I didn't realize, and never ran across in all of my planning and research, is that the restaurants are on the second floor. When we finally got to Ohana, it was about 9:25. It took about 10 minutes to check in - there was a bit of a line. We were given a pager and told it would be 15 to 25 minutes. At first I was worried about the morning getting off to such a late start. Then I said, "Oh well! We'll get there when we get there." I just decided not to worry about time. We'd get to what we would, and catch anything else at another time.

Our pager went off in about five minutes. We got our picture taken and were seated.
IMG_3219.jpg

Our waiter was very good. We never had to wait for juice refills, or food. The characters were also very good. We saw Stitch, Lilo, Pluto and Mickey - twice each.

Stitch kind of snuck up on DD here...

We bought the photo here - $31.90. It included the picture folder above and four 4x6 pictures of us. Total for the meal was $72.38 plus tip.

After eating, we caught a bus to the Animal Kingdom, with about a ten minute wait. As we were going in, DD got pictures/autographs from Governor Ratcliff, Brer Rabbit and Flik.

We got in to It’s Tough To Be A Bug with about five minutes wait. We loved it! This was the first of the 3-D shows we had experienced. And what an experience! I didn't expect some of the effects, but they were great! I can see how it would upset some little ones, though.

From there, we wandered over to Dinosaur. There was a long line, so I grabbed Fast Passes. We had a half-hour until they were good, so Mom and DD waited on a shady bench while DH and I went to get some drinks. We got one order of McDonald’s fries, two cokes and a bottle of water for $8.00. We stopped and got DD a lemonade for $2.22. We had our fries and drinks, then I went and got another fast pass for my scrapbook. By the time I got back to the bench, it was time for our ride. We rode Dinosaur, and loved it again (again, minus DH). We headed toward the Nemo show, but the line was ridiculous! We just wandered out, looking at stuff as we went. We didn’t have to wait for a bus, there were 2 there!

Continued in next post.

We came back to the room to veg for a bit. DD played Sims2 on my laptop and DH snoozed. Me and Mom did some laundry. Total cost here $12.00.

Gotta love these Coke machines...
102608146.jpg

Just about 5:00, we headed for the bus stop. We waited just a few minutes for a bus to Magic Kingdom. We made our way toward the Liberty Tree Tavern. We got checked in (about 10 minutes late), and only had to wait another 10 minutes to be seated. The food was generally good. The only thing that wasn't very good was the gravy. It was very... um... thick. We could almost eat the gravy with a fork! We saw Pluto, Goofy, Chip, Dale and Minnie. We had to wait for Minnie, for quite a while, actually. Once she came around, we were on our way to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!!! Total cost for supper was $118.71 plus tip.

After eating, we started hitting the Trick or Treating! We got on Haunted Mansion with no wait. We stood in a line for a photo pass picture with Cinderella’s coach.
Picture000426.jpg

From there we went on PhilharMagic with about a 10 minute wait. Loved it!

We rode Dumbo with about a five minute wait.
2982511858_966cabd10c.jpg

DH and DD took another spin on the Indy Speedway, with very little wait.
2981660111_5fff711094.jpg

We did some more trick or treating all along the way. DD got her picture taken with Buzz Lightyear.
2981663813_3aa977f884.jpg

We stopped on the bridge from Tomorrowland to watch the fireworks. We had a pretty good view.

2981661087_eb7cb06412.jpg

After the fireworks, we all went on Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin with no wait. DH beat us all with a score of over 122,000!

2981663187_1a181be858.jpg

We stopped at the face painting station, and DD requested a vampire face to go with her cape.

More trick or treating! We went through Minnie’s House, and got photo pass picture with Minnie in her Witches’ outfit.

Continued in next post, again.

After this, we went to see the princesses. We waited about fifteen minutes, and got pictures with Aurora & her prince, and Cinderella & Prince Charming. We got a picture of just DH with Cinderella, and DD was SO mad at us. She is a total Daddy's girl. Ever since we started planning this trip, she had been very vocal about Dad not getting too close to a Princess. We were laughing about her, and DH was cracking up with Cinderella.

We got on Space Mountain with no wait! Elizabeth absolutely loved this! Mom liked it too, but looked a bit flustered as we got off. Come to find out, she had a... um.... wardrobe malfunction... on the ride. It was not visible to anyone, but she sure felt it! She said that the ride threw her right out of a certain article of clothing. She had to do a little.... rearranging.... before she could get out of the cart. She didn't tell me about this until we were back in the room. I fell on the bed laughing so hard when she told me. :lmao: We were all getting tired by this time, so we were heading out.

DD wanted to do Stitch’s Great Escape first, so we did, with about a five minute wait. All of us went on, and liked it.

We were finally getting tired, and decided to head out.
2981669295_fc134b323b.jpg

On the way out, we bought DD a huge balloon. Cost $10.00.
102708163.jpg

We waited about ten minutes for a bus. It was full, but not packed. We got back to the room and checked out our candy.
2982527376_9eaef3535d.jpg

We finally hit the bed at 1:30 am!

It's been a while since I've updated. Life kinda got in the way there for a bit. I'm back, though, and will be updating regularly until I've finished!

We were all tuckered out from our very late night. Er.. morning... Whatever. DH was up and around before everyone else this morning. He went to Old Port Royale for a soda before we were up. Then Mom was up, then me. DD was still sleeping at 10. We finally got everyone up and around, and out of the room just after 11:30. Today, we were leaving Disney World for a while! Oh, the horror! We actually got in the van and drove today! The poor van has not been moved since we got our room assignment on Wednesday. Today was Monday. Poor van...

DD had seen a show on the Travel Channel, about unique McDonalds'. One happens to be in Orlando. We got to McDonald’s rather easily. It only took about 15 minutes. It was pretty much right off I-4. We had lunch and looked around here. Total cost $24.51. I had to go dig out the receipt to remember what we all had. (Yes, I still have all of my receipts. They'll go into an envelope in my scrapbook, when I get to putting that together.) DH and mom each had a Big Mac Meal, I had a double quarter pounder meal, and DD had a nuggets Happy Meal. The ordering system was similar to the system in the parks. You ordered at one station, then went forward to pick up your food. Besides the normal Mickey D's food, they had a "Bistro" menu with fancier items. We stuck with the plain ol' burgers & nuggets.

This place really was quite different!

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! was just down the road, not even five minutes away. This was a must-do, according to DD. She loves this type of thing. Our tickets, a pack of batteries (my camera seems to be just eating batteries lately) and a guide book came to $71.43. We toured through, looking and taking pictures.

We drove back to the room, again rather easily. We had a towel animal greeting us when we arrived! We vegged for a while.

Continued from previous post...

After a bit, we went to the bus stop and caught a bus to the Magic Kingdom. We waited about 10 minutes for the bus. It was rather busy at Magic Kingdom.
2985998657_96e146d659.jpg

We made our way toward Space Mountain, stopping first at the Carousel of Progress. We waited about five minutes, and all went on. Then we got our Space Mountain fast passes. I also used DH’s ticket, so I could have one for my scrapbook. We stopped at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café for supper. DH and DD had grilled chicken sandwiches with fries, I had the half-chicken dinner with green beans and mashed. Mom had a club salad and water. DH and DD had iced tea, while I had a coke. Total cost here was $32.84 at Bay 1 and $9.66 at Bay 3.
2986855024_a1f7af34be.jpg

After eating, we went to Snow White’s Scary Adventures. We all went on, and waited about five minutes.

3072560154_6010680e02.jpg

We made our way back to Space Mountain to use our fast passes. Mom didn’t want to go this time (after her wardrobe malfunction last time), so we gave away one of the fast passes. DD got to sit in the front of the car this time, and was thrilled.
2986001703_0a5351f98d.jpg

We took the back trail to ToonTown.

3072562848_010acae997.jpg

We were going to see Tinkerbell, but the wait was 90 minutes. We decided to pass for now. We did get a couple of pressed pennies here, though.

2986857980_88b87ffa51.jpg

We made our way to Frontierland, stopping in Liberty Square to see The Hall of Presidents. There was no wait here, a show was just starting. We walked over to Splash Mountain and Big Thunder. Neither were giving fast passes, but both had short waits listed. We went on Splash first, with about a two minute wait. Then me and DD went on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. This also had a very short wait time. The Spectro Parade was about to start, so we had short wait times. The only down-side here – we got stuck in this section of the park and could not leave until Spectro was over. Poor planning on my part. I also discovered that I really do not like to be stuck in an area, and not able to get out. I started to have a bit of a panic attack, but the parade ended and the crowd broke up quickly. Whew!

Once we got out of Frontierland, we stopped at Pirates. There was no wait here. DH didn't want to ride, even though he knew it wasn't a fast/rough ride. He likes watching everyone else. Enchanted Tiki Room was closed by this time, so we went on Alladin’s Flying Carpets. EMH's had just started, and this was the first ride we had to show our room keys. We had kept our room keys in clear pouches on lanyards, so it wasn't a hassle.

A couple of shots on the way out of the park.

The bus stop was busy. One bus at the stop was filled to capacity. Another bus was immediately behind it and also filled to capacity. We got on the third bus, after waiting about five minutes.

Me, DH and DD got off at Old Port Royale. Mom rode around to Barbados. DH jogged from Old Port Royale to our room, to get our mugs to refill. He got there before Mom! We picked up some cereal for DD, a piece of cake and 2 large chocolate milks. Cost was $11.89. We were actually charged incorrectly here. We were charged for two pieces of cake instead of the cereal. Of course, the cake was more expensive then the cereal was supposed to be… I didn't notice this until we were back at the room, and the difference wasn't too much (about a dollar and change), so I didn't worry about it. We also picked up a pepperoni pizza. Cost was $16.50. We filled up our mugs and walked back to the room, where we watched some TV and vegged. We had no energy for anything else, after such a full, long day yesterday.

Great repost coming here, glad that you had a great trip. All of the pics are awesome. Looking forward in hearing more from you.

Have a nice day everyone. :)

Love reading about your trip. The pictures have been great.

You must've carried some sort of notepad through the parks with you to remember all of the costs?

Great report!! Subscribing!!

Love reading about your trip. The pictures have been great.

Thanks for reading along!! I saved all of my receipts, and kept a log/diary at night. Otherwise, I'd have absolutely NO idea what things had cost. My memory definitly is not that good!

We were up around 8:00 this morning. We were leaving Disney World again this morning. We had planned to go to the Showcase of Citrus, for a monster truck ride and orange-picking. I called the Showcase of Citrus shortly after 9:00, to confirm our ride. We changed the time from 10:00 to 11:00, as it was a bit chilly. We got the privilege of experiencing one of Orlando's coldest Octobers! It had gotten down to 41 that morning! YIKES! It was about 55 when I was talking to the folks at the Showcase of Citrus.
3001382152_3396ff847e.jpg

We headed out, and got a little turned around, but did eventually find the place. We took one wrong turn early in the trip, but found our way. If we hadn't gotten turned around, the trip would have taken about 15 minutes

We made it to the Showcase of Citrus and had to wait just a few minutes for our ride. We had another couple riding with us. They were from New Hampshire. The ride was wonderful. Partway through, we stopped in a pasture with some cows and got to feed them some oranges. DD had a blast doing that. Total cost for the Monster Truck ride was $70.00 ($20 per adult and $10 for the kiddo). This really wasn't too bad, as the ride lasted close to an hour!

After the ride, we had some samples of a few fruits. DD has decided that she loves yellow navel oranges. We went to the orchards and picked a small bag full of yellow navels and another small bag full of tangerines. We also picked two giant palmetto fruits – one for us and one DH's mom. DH picked two oranges and we ate them right in the orchard, and Mom picked another one and devoured it. The guy who had given us the samples told us to go ahead and taste some while picking, if we wanted to. Total cost for our fruit was $28.00.

I LOVE this picture. DD has her hands on her hips, telling Grandma she's not supposed to be eating the oranges yet. DD didn't realize the person working there said we could...

Mom just LOVED the fresh oranges.

We stopped for gas - $20.00. Gas was $2.54/gallon.

We stopped at a Golden Corral on 192 for lunch. They had things like grilled cheese sandwiches and patty melts on the buffet! Totally unlike anything we see in NY. We all found something to eat here that we enjoyed. I honestly don't remember specifics though. Bad reporter, I know. Total for lunch was $40.48. There was a gift shop attached to the restaurant. You entered the gift shop through a turnstile. We bought a t-shirt for me, a mug for Grandma Stratton, a hat for DD, and a pick a pearl necklace kit for my sister. Total cost here $51.31. They gave us a stretchy shell bracelet as a gift.

We went back to the resort to veg for a bit. DH called his mom, and DD talked to her also. While DD was on the phone (she was just outside the room, as reception wasn't great in the room), we heard a tapping on the door. We thought DD had shut the door all the way and couldn't get back in. We opened it and saw this:

We had two beggars! Even though we probably shouldn't have, we gave the little guys some popcorn. DD and Mom thought that was just the neatest.

We headed out around 5:15 pm. We waited for a bus for about fifteen minutes.

We were going back to Epcot!
3000724645_6cb0f445f7.jpg

Once we got there, we went on Spaceship Earth. There was about a 5 minute wait for that.
3000726917_54e7ce6a2c.jpg

We stopped into the camera shop. I was going to pick up some batteries (as my camera was still eating them), but decided not to. DD found a Goofy keychain for her aunt - $4.80. Mom also found the castle knick-knack she wanted. It’s a little castle with Micky and Tinkerbell, that has a place to hold a picture. Then we went and rode Universe of Energy. Again, about a five minute wait. After that, we stopped and got a large hot chocolate for $4.75. Ouch! Mom also got a coffee. Real coffee, she said. We then walked through part of the world showcase. We got DD a Churro with chocolate sauce (two small pieces) for $2.50 (from the Mexican stand). I got a pierogi (only one! With 2 pieces of keilbasa) for $4.50 (from the Poland stand). This was a little misleading. The menu said "Perogies and Keilbasa" which to me means more than one perogi. Plural. Oh, well. It was tasty.

We headed back for the bus. There was a bus there as we walked up, but it was packed – not even standing room left. We waited about another 7 minutes for a bus.
3000732543_2304404d52.jpg

When we got back, DD and I took the shuttle to Old Port Royale. She got a kids pizza with milk and 2 sides of grapes. She also got a piece of chocolate cake. I got a tuna sandwich with chips. We refilled our mugs, also. Total cost here was $17.22. The other two weren't hungry, and just had toast. This tuna sandwich was GREAT! The bread was tasty, and the tuna was just right -- not too dry, or too much dressing. And HUGE! Yummy....

We just vegged around the room and went to sleep fairly early.

I'm lovin your trip report. I also like your picture of the ladies room at the World's Largest McDonald's! We went there a couple years ago, and I had always wished I'd have gotten a picture of that!

I had set a wake-up call for 7:15. We got Stitch. Sort of. It only gave part of the message, and cut off in the middle. We got up and around, and were at the bus stop at 8:45 or so. We only waited about ten minutes for a bus.

Today was a Hollywood Studios morning. We went straight to Toy Story Midway Mania. I got some fast passes (that we never ended up using!!!). I got the fast passes at about 9:20, and the return time was 11:30! We got in the standby line. I don't remember the posted wait time, but we only waited about fifteen minutes. The ride was great! A lot of fun.

Right across the walkway, DD got her pictures with Buzz and Woody, as well as some photo ops while in line.

I like this one -- looks like she's being dragged out of the crane game...

We walked around a bit. I didn’t realize that the park opened at 9:00, but a lot of the attractions didn’t open until 10:30.

DD got her pictures with Lightning McQueen and Mater.
3005758892_ea29e3d6f6.jpg

We saw the Muppets 3D show, after about a five minute wait. This was cute.

We stopped at Pizza Planet for lunch. DH and I had pepperoni pizzas, Mom had the salad that came with one of the pizza meals, and DD had a cheese pizza kids meal. Total cost here was $24.34. I'm not sure when this changed, but Pizza Planet now DOES have a separate kids menu. This didn't effect us at all, but may make a difference to anyone on the dining plan. The only thing kids could get was a cheese pizza.

We walked around a bit more. The Little Mermaid line was WAY too long, so we went on the Great Movie Ride. We liked this one. We had a good guide - he was really funny.

I stopped at a cart and got Mom and DD a premium Mickey bar. Total cost $5.00.
3005773442_c5913e2e44.jpg

We walked toward Rock’n Roller Coaster. I got fast passes for this. We went on Tower of Terror again. Wait time was about ten to fifteen minutes. Not bad.
3004939265_ee40b32329.jpg

DD was in a hurry to get in here!
3077363895_c547c73899.jpg

We decided to get in the standby line for Rock’n’Roller coaster, as our fast pass time was a while away. We were only in line for about a half hour, if that. Great, as usual.

We stopped at a cart and got a frozen lemonade, and a pretzel and cheese. Total cost here was $7.55.

We decided to just head out of the park.
3078195910_13b72c523d.jpg

Just before we left, we gave our three unused Rock’n Roller coaster fast passes to three guys (looked like a father and two teenage sons) who were getting a photo pass picture.

continued in next post...

We only waited about five minutes for the bus. We vegged a bit in the room, then decided to go to the Magic Kingdom. We got on the bus at around 5:00, after a five minute wait.

DD got her hair cut at the barber shop. They don't do appointments, and we got lucky. We only had to wait in line behind the people currently getting their hair done. As we were there, the line got several people deep. Diane trimmed DD's hair well, and put green gel and mickey confetti in her hair. Total cost $14.00 plus tip.

We walked back to see Tink, but the posted wait time was 90 minutes again. We couldn’t do that and still get a good seat for the parade. I got a frozen lemonade for $3.51.

We rode Goofy’s Barnstormer with a five to ten minute wait. Cute ride, but not really worth the wait, unless you have little ones that want to try a "thrill" ride.

We walked the back path to Tomorrowland. DD wanted to ride Space Mountain again, so we jumped in line. Wait was less than fifteen minutes. I bought her one of those tags with her name on it on the way out, with a lanyard. Cost $8.47.

We headed toward the Castle, to get a spot to watch the parade. We got a nice, front-row spot! It was right on the hub, too. We got to see the Dream Come True castle show from where we were.

The Queen of Hearts got right in Mom’s face, and gave her the “I’m Watching You” gesture. It was hilarious!
3004976455_42353168af.jpg

This picture captures the magic of the entire trip. My mom has LOVED Alice in Wonderland since she was a child. Especially the Queen of Hearts. I wish the picture was better, but it happened so quickly. I'm glad I got a shot of it at all!!

We decided not to stay for the fireworks, and headed out of Magic Kingdom. We waited about five minutes or so for the bus.

3078266052_484bdd46d4.jpg

DH and I walked to Old Port Royale to get us some supper, and fill our mugs. Mom, DD and I all got the tuna sandwiches (told you they were good!). DH got the turkey BLT. Total cost was $32.23.

We vegged in the room for the rest of the night. We was pooped!

Just wanted to say that I've been lurking since you began your pre-trippie, and I'm enjoying every minute ! Thanks for doing the TR, and looking forward to the rest ! :)

You could take the WONDERFUL picture of your mom and the Queen of Hearts over to "Picture of the Day" photo board, post it, and ask someone to clean it up for you. It's amazing the magic :wizard: some of them can do with pictures. Great trip report - thanks!

I am totally loving your trip report! I love all the details w/ the prices! I am going to do that our next trip, you have inspired me LOL. And great idea to keep the reciepts for your scrapbook. I recently got into scrapbooking, this is great! Can't wait to read more!
