First timer!

Heading to Disney World the end of June with hubby, 9 yr. old son and 3 yr. old daughter. I have only one day to spend at Sea World, so I'm hoping you kind folks will help with a list of must dos and some idea of how to schedule it. It's the last day of our trip so we're going to be a little tired I'm sure, but we still want to get there first thing in the morning.

Any suggestions for how to plan my one day? Thanks guys!!

Are you staying far away from Sea World? Far enough away that you wouldn't consider going "home" for a rest and a snack/dinner?

I'd go at opening, feed the dolphins or rays, do the two big rides, choose 3 shows, see some continuous displays, then come back around 5 pm for the night shows (my favorites) and a few other things you didn't see yet.

I know that's not specific, but I can give you a better plan if I know what your style is.

as soon as you get in, grab a schedule for the day and sit down for 10 minutes and review it carefully. I'f you play your cards right you can see all the shows, and certainly all the ones you might have your heart set on, if you look at the times and plan them out.... the schedule will actually form a logical sequence or two. Cut out your time for lunch and animal feeds (the time of which changes) and away you go.... a highligher comes in handy!

You COULD do 90% in one day with careful planning.

I totally agree with Capt BJ.

It's all about planning (yes, I'm one of those), but we planned on the fly.

We were able to feed the rays and dolphins, see the manatees, check out several shows... and do the dolphin spotlight tour (booked in advance for extra $$$). We were able to catch the final "Believe" Shamu show of the day.

Just be aware that if you want primo seats for the various shows, you have to show up well in advance!

If you rush from one show to another that starts in 10 minutes, you'll be way at the back or off to the sides.

Also, get to Clyde and Seamore at least 15 minutes early to catch the pre-show entertainment. It's hilarious!

We are planning our 1st trip to Seaworld at the end of the month. We will have 2 days to spend and want to go about things logically instead of running from one side of the park to the next.

Are the shows spead out all over the park or is there a logical sequence they follow?

is see lots on mention of the shows (Believe, Pets Ahoy, etc), but no mention as to what buildings or locations they are located...can someone help me out?

If there's a logical order to the shows, I've yet to see it. Since they are dealing with animals for the show, I'm sure they arrange the shows to fit that schedule rather than convenience for people.

Believe is in the Shamu Stadium, Pets Ahoy is on the waterfront, Blue Horizons is in the Whale and Dolphin theater, Clyde and Seamore is in the Seal and Otter or something like that theater. If you look on Seaworld's website, they have a map (cartoon like) that will show you.

Besides, Shamu, is there another show you would recommend seeing if you are not going to all of them?

My son loves Clyde and Seamore, but we're fans of the corny. I like Blue Horizons (dolphins) a lot.

I like them all except for that horrible Elmo monstrosity (though my 4-year-old liked it) but if you have to skip some, skip Pets Ahoy, which is cute but not Sea World-y, and skip Oddysea, which again is cool (like Cirque du Soleil on a small scale) but not based on the sea creatures. I skip Believe, but that's because I'll always go to the Shamu Rocks show at night in the summer (I'm very unsentimental and the sugar-coating makes my teeth itch).

Not better, just different! I guess I find the Believe show to have a lot of focus on the trainers, and not enough on the orcas. But the evening show where the trainers have to dance (and they're not dancers!) is way funnier if you've already been to Believe. So I guess it all depends on your sarcasm level.
