We are heading back to Disney World and my husband insists that we hit Universal this time. We were thinking of 2 days for Universal Studios so a few questions. I will be 6 months pregnant when we go. Are a lot of the rides like Disney, more show than thrill ride? Will I be sitting at ride exits a lot, waiting for him?
The second question is I would love to eat at Emeril's. Do you have to pay seperately to get into CityWalk when you have been in the park all day?
Any help would be appreciated. Just when I felt comfortable planning a WDW vacation he changes the plans on me!:p

You will be limited, but I can't help you in this area, but I'm sure someone will come on in a bit to answer your question.

However, take advantage of the oppurtunity to watch some of the shows at Universal. You may enjoy the Horror Makeup Show which is an indoor show (about 25 minutes long and can pass the time when someone going on a different ride). The Horror Makeup Show is one you can see multiple times too and sometimes the jokes, or even the people that play the parts, are different.

The street Shows are great (Street Breaks, Ghostbusters, Blues Brothers) but there isn't seating at any of them. The Ghostbusters Show has some benches near the stage, but depending if people sit or stand, not sure how great of a view it would be.

Shrek 4-D and Jimmy Neutron have stationary seating available. I don't think ET would be a problem either, but I aven't been on that for a long time. Definitely skip Back to the Future. :p

You will be able to do quite a bit at Universal and Islands of Adventure if you go there. As Fly Fly mentioned there are many shows you can see. The Horror MakeUp Show is hilarious! Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue is a pretty good musical show where you can sit down. You can ride Jaws and Earthquake. On Jaws you are riding in a slow moving boat. On Earthquake the "subway car" you are in doesn't jostle you around. Everything around you moves. The car you ride in only moves forward and backwards slowly. Twister is a standing attraction. They do have stationary seating for both Shrek and Jimmy Neutron and I think they also do for Terminator 2-3D. Over at IOA, you wouldn't be able to do as much as that's where most of the thrill rides are. You could see Poseiden's Fury which is a walk thru attraction. Someone help me here...I am drawing a blank about IOA! LOL!!

Re: Citywalk...you do not have to pay admission to Citywalk. Anyone can walk thru, go to a restaurant, see a movie, or browse the shops without any entrance fee. I highly recommend spending some time there. It's a fun and lively place. Have fun!!

You can request "no spin" on Cat in the Hat to help tone down the ride, though I've never tried it with "no spin" so I don't know if it would still be too intense or not...I don't think it would, but maybe someone else can say for sure...

Hmm...I can't think of anything else at IOA either...

Expectant mothers should avoid the following at IOA:

Hulk
Storm Force
Spider-Man
Doctor Doom
Ripsaw Falls
Popeye and Bluto's Barges
Jurassic Park Rivder Adventure
Dueling Dragons
Flying Unicorn
Cat in the Hat (unless spin is turned off)

You *can* ride any of those if you really want to, but it's up to you. Universal is not liable if anything should happen to your unborn child. IMO, Popeye and Bluto's Barges is fine, but it's a white water rapids ride. Again, up to you.

Definitely go to Universal. You will be able to do more there. I love IOA and prefer it actually, but based on your circumstances, you will have more fun at the Studios, IMO.
