It' our first time at WDW,,,Where is the best Salad Bar
Coming from California,,,,we are used to lots of lettuce!!!!!!!:rotfl:

I can't think of any WDW restaurant that has a salad bar, outside of the buffets.

There is a LOT of Lettuce at the Brown Derby,,,The Cobb Salad is
fabulous..although it is not a Salad Bar.
The Crystal Palace has a good amount of Salads, but as the
previous poster said,,,this is a buffet:)
Have a great trip...you will enjoy it so much:dance3:

Well, Welcome to the DisBoards!
I am sure they will be as addicting to you as they are for me!:surfweb:
About Salad,,,,,,Everyone thinks I am crazy:hyper:
but I can't get enough salad when I am at WDW!
Because so many Counter Service Restaurants don't offer any
veggies,,,I plan to go to CS's that provide a nice Topping Bar!
That way I can make my own salad on the "side" of my burger
or chicken sandwich. Just build a lettuce tomato mayo salad
for yourself. I know it's not a full salad but you get the
essentials.:yay:
Looking forward to helping you out along the way to your trip!:cheer2:

WoW!!! First time at Disney World, it will be amazing. On the restuarant review thread I have read great comments about the salad selection at the Crystal Palace which is at the Magic Kingdom:cheer2:

Boatwrights at Port Orleans Riverside has a nice dinner salad that comes with most meals, watch out for the tangy 1000 island dressing, I have a friend who always chokes on it:scared1:

Enjoy your first trip;)

The Buffets will be your only hope for a salad bar.
You can however get some great salads in the sit down
restaurants (table service) (TS)
I agree with IshallcallhimSquishy,
The Cobb Salad at the Brown Derby is awesome@ Hollywood Studios.
I read though, an insider tip, that at Starring Rolls
Also at Hollywood Studios (HS) that they have a great CobbSalad
that is much less expensive than the Brown Derby. I think the original
one is priced at $15.99 if I'm not mistaken. A little pricey for a salad, yes, but a once in a lifetime experience. If you can get the same salad next door
for a little less money though, it may be worth trying it. It wouldn't hurt
to "LURK" around Starring Rolls and see what people are bringing to their
tables. It is a Counter Service thus, the cheaper price.
I never get embarrassed to see what others are ordering before I choose
my meal. Have fun and enjoy each day.:wizard:

Salad bars are not so good at WDW. They are just part of buffet meals and mostly seem to use the bagged iceberg lettuce blend and then one different kind of green per bar like spinach, romaine, spring mix, etc. There are nicer pre-made salads though just not nice bars.

Hello fellow Californian! You can also get some good salads at DTD - Earl of Sandwich, Wolfgang Pucks, and the China Mist? at Rainforest Cafe. I also had a grocery delivery from Garden Grocer's, and ordered some Caesar salad kits so I could have simple salads. (If you're staying at a moderate or deluxe resoprt, you'll have a fridge.) I also ordered some carrots, celery sticks, cheese, crackers, and Dr Pepper to snack on when I was in the room.

The DIS experts use many abbreviations and I enjoy the challenge of trying to figure them out. I know somewhere on these boards are a list of abbrev's, I just do not know where they are found.

Mmmm....salad at Starring Rolls inside the H.S. (Hollywood Studios), I'll have to check out this great tip.

I also like the idea of ordering the salad kits, we are staying at CSR so fridges are available....look I can't stop abbreviating now:laughing:
