Just a few questions..I only have 2 days to enjoy the parks..
DD 10 and my Mom and self are going..
I figured 1st day, 24th AK since MK is an early day..just DD and I..my mom had kneee surgery a yr. ago and is not a big walker..and I'm planning for MK on Fri. the 25th.
Couple of questions..
Are there plenty of benches in MK for Mom to take frequent breaks? Also I checked the map to plan our trip, since our time is limited and I can plan where we can just stroll through..does the train save alot of walking and can you get on and off more than once..for instance at Main Sq. then to Frontierland etc.
And can anyone tell me the distance approx between lands?
Just want to prepare Mom.
I am so excited..I read another post about meeting Mickey for the first time as an adult..I am such a sensitive soul, I am crying just reading..*L*..
TIA~!

If your mom is going to have lots of trouble walking around, you can rent her an electronic scooter. There are great distances to travel in both parks and a scooter will help keep you all on the move and help your mom enjoy the parks with you.

I have a few answers. Feel free to email me at work if you have others. You may get on and off all attractions as many times as you wish. There is main street transportation that will take you to the hub so you can get to each of the "spokes" easily.

The train can take you to three of the lands.

There are several places to stop and rest. some are walls some are benches some are bathrooms (hahahaha) but they are plentiful.

Distance between lands varies by whether you walk on the smaller inside of the hub or the wider outside. Scooters are availble but they rent for something like $45. A bit expensive in my opinion. Take it slow. This is a good time of year. Lines should not be too long.

It is 1.5 miles from my parking space at home to a parking space at the Contemporary Resort. So I should be able to get you any answers that you may need.

Everyone on these boards is a wealth of information. Visit them often. and if you haven't done it yet look at the link for your best kept WDW secret.

Are there plenty of benches in MK for Mom to take frequent breaks? Yes. Should not be a problem. Benches, tables, etc.

does the train save alot of walking and can you get on and off more than once? It circles the park and There are stops at the main entrance, frontierland and Mickey's toontown. If you looked on a clock this wouls be 10, 2 & 6. You can board as many times as you want, you just have to wait for the train. It will save walking.

And can anyone tell me the distance approx between lands? The lands adjoin one another. As wonderful as the MK is, its really not that big. In fact, I believe it is the smallst of the 4. You can walk from Space mountain to, lets say, Pirates of the Caribbean in about 10 minutes. (I'm just going by memory here, so someone can correct me.) That is going by way of the castle. About 15 minutes if you go through Fantasyland.
