We are going to be at WDW for part of the Food and Wine Festival.....we planned months ago, though had no idea that the FW festival was happening. Nice surprise...

I do have a few questions that i would love help with...

Are the "eat to the beat" concerts at the same locale as the Candlelight Processional? Is there a schedule for when they begin each night/day? Do AP holders get any kind of preferred seating.....seems like they did for the Candlelight Processional....though, i don't really know!

How do kids like the whole event? My DD10 and DS 7 love good food, etc and are not fussy eaters........Are the Food Booths serving enough of a bite that a couple make a meal? Which have been favorites?

Is there anything not to be missed about it all? We will be there October 19-28, staying half at OKW and half at BCV.........

Thank you for your help....our disney trips have become so much more wonderful as a result of these boards!

The "eat to the beat" concerts are held at the America Gardens stage at no additional cost.

The samples are fairly modest-sized. A few bites at most. And the wine/drink samples are aprox 4 oz. You can view last year's sample selections and prices here http://www.wdwig.com/fw2002_pr.htm

The Food & Wine Festival is a great way to sample lots of new food, but it would certainly take several samples per person to constitute a "meal". At an avg. $2.00 -$3.00 per sample you'd get a lot more food for your money in one of the Epcot restaurants. Of course, some of the samples are more "hearty" than others...depending on what you try. And it really depends on how much it takes to fill you up. I'm the type who is perfectly happy grazing all day, rather than sitting down to a large meal.

I found a great review of last year's Food and Wine Festival here

Should give you an idea of what to expect.

Last year was our 1st time for the F & W festival and we loved it so much we are going back this year from 11-8 - 11-15. My husband & I shared the food which is just about a bite or so each. I kind of like it that way, we were able to sample a lot of food. I thought it was interesting to watch all the adults walking around with wine glasses in their hand as they stroll the different food vendors. It didn't really look like a "Disney thing" with everyone carrying a wine glass. Fun... can't wait

thank you much for your replies! Its always great to have a spot to get first hand info!
